Human Edge

Situation: The Calico is now in range to get a good look at the surface, and what it sees will influence the chosen landing point. With these readings in hand, Lucretzia Winters has called members of her company to gather, in order to plan their approach. It is time to choose a landing point, and to decide which lead will become the initial, primary focus. Seated by the holotank, Lucretzia waited in poised silence, thumbing through printouts of the data.

Peppy Colette went into the briefing room as instructed by the staff. She brought a variety of snacks so people could be helping their neurons think better. She has an inkling of how these briefings could go for an hour or so. She gave Lucretzia a salute with a big smile on her face.

Octavian makes sure he is present for the briefing and ready. He has his notes in front of him and smiles at the caterer.

Lucretzia rolled her eyes. "We're scientists, Colette, not soldiers."

Glancing to Octavian, she offered a stately nod.

"I'm glad you could make it. We have several possible routes by which we could proceed... and I would like to get opinions before I commit to any of them."

Colette giggled. "It is a fun way to say hello." The girl looked at the Dr arriving. "Dr. Ren and madame Lucretzia would like some coffee or some other srink?

Lucretzia smiled... slightly. It was a twitch of the lips, but for her, that was unusual in itself.

"If you are offering, then yes. I would love a mug of coffee. Black."

"Coffee would be pleasant, yes, thank you" He nods toward Ms Winters, "I guess it comes down to do which do we have the equipment to resolve quickly, which is farthest from possible interference, and which are we least worried about drawing attention to by our very presence."

She nodded "Of course!" Colette left the room to brew them a fresh batch. She returns with two mugs, the cream and sugar. Lucretzia's coffee was decorated with a bear sitting stencil. Octavian's was decorated with a geode. "Bon appetite!"

Jan followed his nose heading therein.

"I sense food." It was a greeting.

"You are welcomed... I made berry eclaire, petite sandwiches, mixed dry fruit and nuts, and veggie chips!" She smiled. "They are tres magnifique. What would be the drink of choice?"
