It's a mess (Day 1, EM, Mess)

"And a nice smile, si." She smiled cheerfully. "Your cake the other day looked really good too. Sa... savoureux. Yea?" Her pronunciation was a little odd here, but she was trying. "I can see why you're the unofficial morale raiser." For emphasis she tapped her mug with her fingers. "Thank you again."

[Colette Rupelle]

"Oh...e un placer." She nodded. "Do you have a favorite flavor?" She wondered.

[Felicity]

"Of cake?" Felicity queried. "Or, in general?" She wondered in turn where Colette was going with this.

"Cake or dessert... which ever you like." she smiled. "I like strawberry shortcake."

[Felicity]

Her tea was set down. Placing her right hand on her chin, holding the elbow with her left, she seriously thought about it. "Strawberry shortcake is nice. Pues... puuuues...." She went through possibilities in her mind. She liked marble cake and various kinds of chocolate, but she was also partial to quite a few desserts too. She tapped her right hand into her left as she settled on something. "Do you know the recipes of any Spanish almond cakes?" She wasn't going to be so fussy as to insist on a particular regional variant.

Even if Santiago was the best.

Colette gave it a thought. "No, sadly mais I make killer macaroons!" Then she smiled "But I can learn razer quickly. Maybe ze recept is in one of ze archives. Oui?"

[Felicity]

"Maybe? Oui." She really had no idea. "Macarons are tasty. I tried to make them once, but..." Felicity shook her head. "I only had normal sugar and cream." While true, this was not the only reason she'd failed.

"Do you like cooking?" Colette wondered.

[Felicity]

"A little. There often wasn't much to do when traveling from place to place or doing garrison duty."

Colette squealed in glee. "Yay! It is relaxing if you think about it." She smiled. "If you want to learn some zings, I can teach you."
