[T-1 Morning] Desayuno

[Felicity]

"Yea, something like that." She smiled wide before having a sip of water and pointing to Theodore. She then made a gesture as if asking about him.

[Theodore Beker]

"Me? I'm just some guy that keeps machines working. I got more focused on mechs over time but I used to pit crew for some street racers on New Avalon."

[Felicity]

"Bacano." Felicity looked impressed. "How do you go from street racers to battlemechs?"

[Theodore Beker]

"Roommate when I was at university was racing and I was studying. It just sort of right place at the right time," he shrugged, "Then we made some money and it sort of spiraled out from there. We even won the big summer race in '35."

[Felicity]

"Sounds like a lot of fun. Where was that?"

[Theodore Beker]

"The Race to World's End started in Brunswick City and ended at World's End, which was this bar on a cliff at the beach resort town about 210 klicks from downtown," he grinned, "A mechanic had to go along because we weren't going to be able to just plan a pit stop. Crazy."

[Felicity]

"You loved every moment, si?" Felicity points out with a cheerful grin. "How did your studies go?"

[Theodore Beker]

"Oh, it was fun. I was in charge of manning the coms to try and pin point the best route to duck the traffic. Got there in an hour and twenty minutes," he grinned, "And winning that we were brought into every big party at the beach all weekend."

"Studies went well. Wasn't top of my class or anything, that guy was hellbent for professor and he is welcome to it," he shook his head, "Did some interesting things in my senior years though. NAIS has some pretty slick advanced study options."

[Felicity]

She laughed softly, thinking about what that might mean. Probably all sorts of cutting edge tech stuff. "And now you're here, heading to some backwater mystery planet. Life sure does change."

[Theodore Beker]

"That's how it works," he grinned, "Eventually I'll find something more interesting than going to the middle of nowhere to fix warmachines." He laughed, "Maybe I could get just famous enough to get on the crew for a Solaris jock, huh?"
