Watching Warriors Work (DT-1, Afternoon, Simulator Room)

[James Hall]

James and Mata were at the monitor ready to watch the warriors show their stuff.

Mata had a few bumps and brusies she didn't have yesterday, but she was cheerful as ever.

[Theodore Beker]

Theo walked in with a six pack of beer. "Well... here's hoping we see some good piloting," he cracked one open and offered it to James, "But I'm mostly figuring we'll find out who the hangar queen is going to be." He winced as the Phoenix got showered with missiles, "I'd prefer it not be the antique..."

[James Hall]

James accepts the beer and smacks Mata's hand as she reaches for one. "Thank you. Though aren't they all pretty ancient. New designs seem to be a rarity these days." He takes a drink. "But yeah, I am interested in who will be having us do the most work."

Mata pipes up. "I am here to see the cool mech fighting."

[Theodore Beker]

"Well, yeah, but they still make Commandos and Dragons, they just used to be better. I was looking that thing up in old technical manuals," he opened a beer for himself and sipped, "The Phoenix line got 'decommissioned' Pre-Succession wars."

[James Hall]

"Oh." That was something James hadn't realized. He wondered what other mechs had been decommissioned.
He also wondered if.... "Well, if it's a mech. We can fix it. I look forward to checking it out." He really did.

[Theodore Beker]

"Oh, yeah. If we had time it'd probably be fun to tune it up seriously," he winked, "Same with the Hussar really."

[James Hall]

James nods. "I wouldn't mind fixing up that Clint. But waiting for the major to decide what to do."

Mata interjects, "I think you should fix up the Locust."

[Comstar]

(OOC NOTE: Pilots in team alpha can watch team bravo do their simulation, and then vice-versa.)

[Theodore Beker]

"It'd be useful but," he frowned, "I think we should look at what parts we can salvage off of it."

He smiled at Mata, "Getting the Locust up again would give us a back up mech in case things get hairy on patrols."

"Yeah!" he said gesturing to the match, "Solid hit on that Jenner."

[Dorgan Bruun]

Awaiting his team's run on the simulators, Bruun is lurking in the watch space with the techs and Mata, although he doesn't seem especially chatty so far.
