Human Edge

After getting back from the coast Felicity had deposited her mech in the hangar for a quick check over. She would be venturing out again soon. In the meanwhile she was searching for Nora.

A few quick questions to other staff led her to the mess hall. Apparently the other woman was grabbing a bite for lunch.

Felicity moved to check the booths. For once she wasn't in her usual skirt. It was eschewed in favor of some girly shorts, although they were hidden under her hoodie. Her black tail swished about as she tried to find the coffee addict quartermaster.

After some searching, she found a stack of papers, an equally large stack of pancakes, and Nora behind both, with a mug of coffee and her everpresent noteputer.

She seemed engrossed in her reading.

"Eehm. Need a top up of coffee Miss Crossette?" Felicity dares to ask, trying to be diplomatic yet having to disturb the engrossed workaholic.

"Oh, no, I have a pot."

Nora glanced at her table and frowned.

"I had a pot. Maybe the chef took it back."

Glancing up at Felicity she smiled. "I'm glad you're ok, rough landing, crazy night... all that."

"Very rough. I've only heard bits and pieces about last night though. Dr. Reinhardt and I were looking for those LRMs. No luck." She explains with a sad face. "I'm glad you're okay too. Heard we lost someone in security and there are definitely hostiles. Este... Shall I find you the pot? I hoped you might have five minutes, but if not then it can wait, si." She gestured to the pile of work Nora had ahead of her.

"If I can help somehow...?"

Nora rubbed her eyes, and then said, 'Sure, grab a pot. I can take a break."

Pulling the pancakes toward her, she fished two off the stack and onto her plate, and then began buttering them while reading.

Felicity smiled and nodded. "Okay. I will be right back." Nora was a good person in Felicity's eyes. She didn't make a fuss over her appearance, nor did she make a big deal over her past. She went off to get the coffee pot and bring it back, sliding in opposite Nora after topping up her mug.

"Thanks."

Taking some pancake she stuffed it in her face, and then offered a muffled, "Sho whaf ca I do fur ya?"

This was the bit Felicity wasn't so good at. She clears her throat and then looks around, making sure it was just them.

"Eehm, I wanted to talk to you about the Major. You know him best, si? Just... advice."

She huddles forward, rubbing her hands together a little nervously.

"Uh... yes."

Nora swallowed, chased the pancakes with coffee.

Then another bite. "Whaf aboof Yuri?"
