Having been bandaged, and taking a moment to clean himself up, Aly made his way to the bunks of the now identified saboteurs. It was unlikely that they left much behind, but anything would be helpful. He needed to be sure there were no more threats on board.

The two were a pair of cargo handlers, brought on as temp labor for the mission. Further investigation had turned up background as previously serving as scout infantry for the DCMS. They had come on board a few weeks before the expedition left, nine days after the missing scanner technician came aboard.

It seemed likely that the group had first heard about the expedition through him - and perhaps drawn in the remaining members of this "Black Dragon" unit when they did. That was Anastasia's working theory, at any rate.

The bunk room was shared between six crewman, but they had private lockers, padlocked shut.

He went directly to the lockers this time. Hiding anything in where one of the other crewmen could stumble onto it would have been risky.

The locks proved difficult to pick, however.

Perhaps he would simply have to cut them off? Nobody had any interest in the privacy of those two, at this stage, after all.

He needed more practice with the picks. Fortunately, there were plenty of tools onboard the Calico that could open the lockers. He left to find something.

After a while, he turned up some massive bolt cutters, and a crewman offered a laser pistol, if all else failed.

He took the bolt cutters and the pistol and attempted to open the lockers.

A strength check for the cutters, laser is automatic but might burn all the way through.

He tried the bolt cutters, but lacked the strength, hopefully the laser pistol wouldn't burn much.

A quick shot later, and they were both open. The hole went through the far side as well, drawing a groan from the crewman who lent him the gun. That would be a lengthy repair job for the man.

Still, the lockers were open.

Shocking no one, they were largely full of innocuous things. Clothes, some oddly generic family photos, a surprisingly tame pinup of a japanese woman in a very outdated swimsuit. The only unusual items were a pair of communication handhelds - the sort that would plug into a field relay, stuffed into a pair of shoes.
