Human Edge

James waited for Reinhardt and Mata outside Yuri's door. To say he was anxious was an understatement.

Reinhardt looks a little tired his eyes cloudy behind his glasses as he follows Mata down the corridor, "Evening Technician is everything ok?"

"No. It is terrifying. I asked you here because someone from Echo should know, and I trust you the most. But I must have a promise on everything you hold dear not to breathe a word about anything I say to the outside other than advising you leaders of the danger." James hesitates. "This knowledge could bring you great fame and probably even wealth. But you will be my enemy until the day I, or one of people, kill you." He sighs. "I like you. If you don't think you can keep this secret no matter what it is a secret, then please go back to bed. I want us both to live a long and fulfilling life."

He had meant to say Mata would kill him. She was the warrior. But he wanted to protect her from that a little longer. He was a shitty father.

He frowns slowly but nods, "Ok, though you are being somewhat cryptic Technician"

James nods. "You will understand. Once the commander claims me properly, I can be less so." He knocks loudly. "Commander. I have dire news."

There was a pause, and then a voice inside said, "Enter."

Reinhardt opens the door, and waves James in, waiting to see it Mata plans to follow or not.

Inside, Yuri was sitting at his desk, working.

He glanced up as the pair entered. Not who he would've expected...

"What's the matter, Just Technician James?"

It seems the name had gotten around.

"James puts dow a print of the message and image and backs away from it quickly. "Major Creed. I know who they are. I know why we should be worried. But I cannot say. I am a loyal man. I have been loyal to both you and my people so far. But revealing anything about my people would be treason." He takes a deep breath. "But we have a sort of tradition. If you were to say, hit me and claim me as isorla, well, my bonds would be broken. Only my loyalty to you would remain." James stood there, ready for the blow. He didn't like this. It wasn't the idea of being punched that bothered him. It was no longer being a part of Clan Snow Raven. "You can claim Mata as well after punching me. Otherwise, well, once she's an adult, it will be her choice."

Reinhardt frowns, "Your talking about the people in the message? I already have done some research and have identified some information about them, not sure if they are part of the force of drop ships incoming or not"
