[T-1 Morning] Desayuno

Setting her tray down upon one of the booth tables, Felicity carefully sat down and looked over her meal. Not for the first time she was quietly pleased and amazed at the food quality. It definitely beat what she was used to from her previous assignments. There was actually bacon! She was having hers with a ham omelet and some toast. She even had a croissant that she intended on taking back to her room as a snack later. After a nice morning shower this was definitely the right way to start the day. Mentally she reminded herself she would need the energy since there would be simulations in the afternoon.

Theo paused as he tore a hunk of toast off with his mouth. He chewed for a moment and then swallowed as he walked over to Felicity, "Hey, you are one of the mechwarriors, right? Mind if I join you?"

The dark-haired lass peeked up at him, her hands mid slice through her omelet. She considered it a moment before lowering her cutlery and adjusting her hat. Of course, she pulled it further down.

"Yes, I'm Felicity. Sorry, I was thinking about the rest of the day. Have a seat. You're... Theodore... Beker, aren't you? From the mech hangar team?"

"That's me," he gave her a little nod of his head as he slid into the booth. He spread some jam on another piece of toast, "Felicity... that's KBB, ya? I've been looking over the roster list to keep myself distracted from that wreck of a Clint."

"Same and y-yeah." She sounded a little uncertain about the callsign, but nonetheless she confessed to it. Notably, she quickly moved on. "That Clint is really messed up, isn't it?" Felicity slowly picked up her cutlery again. Like Theodore, she also had some jam to go with her toast.

"I'd rather carve it up for bits but if the commander has his heart set on having that AC kicking about..." he shook his head, "I suppose it *could* be put back together."

He stabbed a sausage, "Not that he is short of odd, useful mechs to replace it."

She listened thoughtfully, taking the chance to try a little of her omelet. Her eyes lit up slightly. It was good!

"We have a strange assortment of mechs. They're all on the lighter side too, with one exception. I'd feel better having another trooper mech in operation, but I've also seen our inventory." She hesitated to say more. Felicity didn't want to come across as a negative Nancy to someone who would possibly be keeping her baby in operation. Still, if he had been checking too then he'd know the truth. The unit didn't have much in the way of additional armor, ammo, heat sinks and parts. I hope this isn't a long deployment because it'd surely be hard to get resupplied here.

"Yeah, well, we aren't pirate hunting, right?" he bit into the sausage, "Try not to blow up their guns too badly, yeah? We could use them."

"Them? You mean any locals who might be hostile?" She asks with a furrowed brow. Felicity then had more of her omelet. She was eating it fairly fast, yet it was only because she really liked it.

"What? No, the salvage," he stabs a corner of his toast into an egg's yolk, "Otherwise our best hope is you all not getting shot."
