It's a Victory, if not a party (Day 6, EN)

[Andrea DeTroyes]

Andrea frowned at the mention of the medic's death. Before the toast she snatched up a second drink, "For Karlotta." She poured the second out as she drank down her own.

[Marik Wa Mo Ishtal]

Marik seems unaffected by today's events, until the mention of Karlotta's death. As Andrea toasts to her he nods grimly, taking a second glass of whatever's nearby to join her.

[Thomas Moreno]

All the way til the end until they were mentioned. That was the life of the infantry though; an after thought. He had raised his glass along with the Captain but hadn't drank at either toast.

He'd do his part another day to send Karlotta off another time, this wasn't the place for it or the time.

[Yuri Creed]

Yuri nodded to Bruun, and otherwise handed out what he could, moving away to let people chat, unbothered by the presence of the boss.

Interesting how reminders of the nature of the work could put a damper on the spirit.

[Dorgan Bruun]

Beer in hand, Bruun wanders over to his fellow lance leader. He doesn't look as pleased as he probably should for a big victory.

"We completed the mission and we brought them all home," Bruun says, sounding pleasantly surprised despite a dour expression. "What do you think, first sergeant?"

[Thomas Moreno]

With the speech done and everyone startign to mingle, Thomas finally takes a sip of his drink setting it to the side before starting to remove the bandage from his arm and attempting to treat it with tools from a small firstaid kit. It was hard work given his position though, and honestly his attempt didn't really do much good. Not that he was really an expert on this kind of thing anyways.

Unskilled medicine day 6 EN: 2d10 14

[Maja Eklund]

Beer in hand, Bruun wanders over to his fellow lance leader. He doesn't look as pleased as he probably should for a big victory.

"We completed the mission and we brought them all home," Bruun says, sounding pleasantly surprised despite a dour expression. "What do you think, first sergeant?"

Maja symbolically clinks her glass against Bruun's

"Ja, it was good, very good. If all our battles could be as such I think I could grow old in this job."
Wagging a finger at him
"Although I was seeing you in the thick of it all, quite a scrum you had."

[Yuri Creed]

After a time, Yuri drifted over to Thomas. "You'll want to get that looked at."

His tone was relatively flat, but he added, simply, "None of us are as good at it as Karlotta, but Nora knows a little. You may want to see her tomorrow."

[Felicity]

On the other side of the mechbay Felicity had found a somewhat comfortable seat atop some crates. She had given Yuri a salute, but she hadn't said much. Apart from that she had eaten a snack and she was nursing some sort of alcoholic drink. It fit the occasion so she had decided why not. Time had passed by and now she was just thoughtful and quiet. People watching was proving to be vaguely interesting.

Snorri finds his wing a ways away from the rest of the pack.

"You don't seem particularly celebratory" Snorri takes a swig of Collette's beer and chases it with whiskey. "Not that I particularly am myself right now"
