"Fine, fine, didn't realize that was a no go zone." Snorri responds to the "no head" rule.

He sulks as she talks about her "callsign"

"Well, you honestly don't need to worry about us calling you that. I have no idea what it means."

Still confused, Maja nods, resolving never to place Bs after Ks again

Snorri sends a knowing look and a shrug to Maya. Maybe Rasalhague didn't have anything comporable.

"Ahhh, you too grew up with the traditional methods of discipline"

Then talk had turned to eyes and she became confused. "Qué?" She shook her head. "Pardon? Eyes?" That was too stupid for words, wasn't it? Felicity regarded 'Abs' like he had just swallowed something strange.

That was not the reaction he was expecting. Perhaps he hadn't figured it out after all.

"Well I mean, it's the first thing I noticed. And they are very nice eyes. Forgive me - have I considered something 'just a space thing' that isn't truly 'a space thing' ? "

Marik's face conveys a series of concerned and sympathetic emotions as he speaks, never quite finding one to settle on.

Once more she repeated her new mental chorus. This is my life now. This is my lance.

A lance leader who thought she was a joke. A strange man who was maybe hitting on her. A less strange man who absolutely was hitting on her...

She wondered if she ought to start drinking again. The thought was quickly dispelled from her mind. It had never gone well.

"Yes, a haddock." Felicity had no idea if this was some weird Rasalhague thing or a disguised insult. She rolled with it, lowering her arms and giving her hands a shack. Acting like she didn't care.

Marik was a real oddity to her. She would probably have to ask more about his planet and culture to figure him out.

"Eehm, thank you then. Thanks Abs. Your way of thinking is half different to where I'm from. They tended to assign a sort of joke callsign first, that we all used to razz each other, and a proper callsign later. After it was earned. My jokey one." She made the gesture of air quotes. "Was a little less razz and a lot more sexual harassment, especially around a bunch of younger than me, horny teenage boys who already had a lot of ego for getting into the Allison Mechwarrior Academy. It was a bad combination. My instructor was immature and liked to hit on the female cadets too. Whatever though. Thisb was years back. Point is, I'd like to avoid that here. Maybe just call me Fel or Fee if you want to keep it short, and we can all change callsigns later when we do something notable... or die trying."

She points her thumb back to the main entrance to the hangar. "Look, I said to one of the scientists I would help him look for some of our misplaced LRMs this evening. If there isn't anything else we want to go over then I'm going to go find him and do that."

Her gaze drifted to Maja. "That alright with you First Sergeant?"

The other woman performs a satisfactory salute and then moves to leave. Now she had to find the doctor.
