((For anyone from the fire support lance who is interested in coming along.))

After the Fortunate Sons finished their meeting Maja quietly invited the members of the fire support lance to cluster around some ammo crates off to the side.

Still looking a little nervous the young pilot had found a small crate for herself to stand on, so that she at leas wasn’t craning her neck the whole time.

Marik, seeing the signal, makes his way over to his new lance's leader. As his culture would demand, he kneels in front of his new leader, his neck given freely.

"You summoned me, First Sergeant?"

Maja’s blinks slowly
“Uh, yeah. Um. Thank you for coming sergeant Marik you uh... don’t have to kneel, I don’t think we’re a kneeling lance. It’s very... nice of you to though.”
She tried to look supportive but authoritative, not sure if kneeling was something that she’d just past over in her lift .

"Ah, sorry -" he rises to his feet. "-It is tradition in my part of the periphery. In any case, I am reporting as required."

The other female pilot in the newly created Fire Support lance was already wary of her 'First Sergeant'. The pointing and raving the day before had really bothered her. The events of minutes before, with the evaluations and rank assignments and such had only served to bother her more. Added to that was the very exciting way they'd all touched down.

Felicity was in a miserable mood.

Going out on patrol had perked her up, but the evening had quickly put a downer on things once more. She had felt she was getting to know Freja a little, and even Andrea wasn't bad, but now they were both in the other Lance. Then again, Marik was okay - just religious and weirdly ceremonial, while Snorri didn't seem to be terrible company other than being a skirt chaser. Well, that was really on her she figured. None of the other female mechwarriors wore a skirt. Maja on the other hand. She was clearly going to be a problem. The age gap and obvious experience gap, at least to Felicity, didn't help matters.

Standing on a crate to show off already. Look at me, look at me. Maldición! Felicity thought to herself. She was too busy stewing to even notice Maja appeared a little nervous, or that she might be on the crate for purely practical reasons. Begrudgingly, she moved over to stand nearby.

She did not salute.

Instead she clears her throat, firmly, and waits a moment. "Felicity." She paused to study the other woman. "Reporting."

“No need to be apologising. Um, I appreciate it and I uh... am looking forward to fighting by your side. I am sure you are most talented of men.

Maja looks even more nervous, clearly she was doing something wrong from that expression. Maybe she needed another box to stand on, could all problems be solved by boxes?

“Thank you Felicity. I am.... thinking you are a very skilled pilot. I hope you and your lucky tail will have good hunting in this lance.”

Nodding, that should do it.

Felicity clenched her jaw and said nothing. Nothing at all.

The tension was obvious, even to one as new to this environment as this.

It appears somethings were beyond the boundaries of space.

Which is why, despite his beliefs on how to solve the situation, he didn't directly state his thoughts at all.

"Thank you - I only hope I can life up to your expectations."

He touches the stars for but a moment, pulling down his best attempt at an innocent, yet amiable, almost adoring smile.
It was like something etched into the side of an ancient monument - a moment of beauty which felt almost impossible to recapture.

"It will be good to work with you again, Miss Felicity."

Hoping that helps matters, he decided to change topics in case it didn't. Clearing his throat, he again addresses their leader.

"Have you been briefed on my evaluation, First Sergeant?"

Maja just stands there awkwardly for a few moments, clearly having no idea how to begin understanding the problem, let alone start fixing it. thankfully Marik's question gives her a chance to try and change topics.

"I have not, if you would want to tell me it, now would be a good time. Um..."
What would a leader do?
"Um, mine said I could make be a mech warrior well, but I should focus on taking the punches for my lancemates whose mechs were of less weight, so that's errh, what I will try and do."

Snorri hadn't been upset to not be a Lance leader. The Kuritan had wanted the glory, which usually meant dying gloriously. The only issue was that something was bothering Fee, but he'd have to ask later.

"Any specific instructions for me Sarge?" He drawls?
