"Ah, morning shift. Regular maintenance, coffee, minimal welding," he sipped his coffee, "Good times. Alright, hover APC is next." He hummed to himself as the diagnostics ran. "Should be an easy..." an astech handed him a sheet about freshly scheduled sorties, "...right folks, um, every assigned mech gets a quick look over. Tell me if anything is broken."

He sat on the APC's bumper and surveyed the hangar.

Thomas was here, more to give things a look then any real need to be. After all this was mostly mech heads territory.

Still it was something to do, other then patrolling the perimeter or waiting for the various outings of the afternoon. Spottign a tech already at work he gave the man a polite nod. "Morning."

"Morning," he set down his empty coffee cup, "You going out on patrol today or are you on local detail?"

"Might head out on patrol, mostly expect to be scouting out locations we found yesterday." Thomas explained as he found a nearby wall to lean against.

"Depends a bit on who is available for what. Not like its advisable."

"Just trying to prioritize which support vehicles need to be cleared to," he looked at his noteputer for diagnostics on the APC, "Do you want a cycle or a chonky boy available if you need to head out?" He banged the armoured hood of the APC to help get his point across.

Sporting shorts and her favorite hoodie, Felicity entered the mech hanger as calmly as she could. She'd heard more chatter at breakfast. About her, an attack the night before and weirdly about fish slapping. The crew were strange. The main takeaway for Felicity was that operation coverup was a bust. She had changed after her meal, deciding to embrace herself and hope she'd made a good enough impression that she wouldn't be universally derided. Back with the Militia it had taken a few months, and it had been the same with her previous employer. The trip had been about that long.

Her tail swayed too and fro from the back of her hoodie as she made a beeline for her mech. With a noteputer under one arm and a bottle of water in the other, she tried to project a confident aura. It seemed to be working as she strode closer and closer to her mech.

"I'm not too picky, but the terrain is pretty rough out there. Not much in the way of roads." At least not as far as he had seen. "So likely best to keep that in mind."

The new arrival got a nod and a polite. "Morning, Senorita." Though Felicity could likely tell the soldiers eyes were drawn to her tail.

"Buenos días señor Moreno." Felicity lifts a hand to acknowledge the soldier boy as she marched past.

"We should get some of the tracked models operational. Hovers aren't bad but don't do trees.... or rocks. Which there might be a lot of down here."

"Hey KBB," the tech nodded, "Trying something new?"
