Theo was there already continuing his endless seeming work on getting the new arm installed. "Wyvern is coming along. I think we might have it ready to get shot at again by noon," he laughed as he smudged grease across his face as he tried to wipe off some sweat.

"Nicely done. Of course, sounds like it's going to be sooner than later."

"Hey, I am sure the lance commander will be happier that way," he smiled as he looked up at the striped down but finally attached arm, "I mean half the weapons were in that thing."

"Of course, with the new mechs these might not see any action any time soon. At least, until the trainees get certified." James then stops for a moment, wondering about how they are going to keep up with that amount of work.

"Trainees.... oof," he shook his head, "I don't know if I am ready for that..."

After a while, Mata would spy Nora walking along the top gantry, on her way to the office that hung from the roof of the hangar.

It was quite a ways up.

"Well, with that announcement, we may have to be." James shook his head. "At least, they will gain experience quickly."

Mata was not one easily deterred. She went up until she made Nora's office and knocked on the door.

((I'm assuming the distance is great enough that Nora will make it to the office first.))

"A neverending world of moderately damaged light mechs. I just hope I don't have to hose anything out," he grins toothily, "Wait! I have Astechs now! I don't *have* to hose anything out!" He let out a melodramatic laugh that devolved quickly into more genuine laughter.

James shook his head. "Poor bastards." Whether he was talking about the mechwarriors or the astechs was questionable.

"It's like a rite of passage. Cleaning your first warrior out of the cockpit. I remember when I was first with the pirates, somehow a piece got lodged underneath the cockpit. I didn't notice until later when it started to smell. I could have gotten it then, but..." James shrugged. "They never figured it out."
