Today was the day. This Locust was going to be operational. If the commander was going to go kamikaze on these ronin it was best to get more back up mechs online for when the mechwarriors, inevitably need replacements.
And people wonder how so much technology could be lost in the last 300 years.

Felicity popped in to check out the mechs, particularly the Valkyrie. Spotting Theodore she waved slightly.

"Hey, KBB," he waved her over, "What are you up to?"

"No more KBB." She holds up her hands, crossing her forearms. "And I am going to inspect my temporary ride." She responds, walking over and checking out what he was perhaps working on.

"I had heard we lost some mechs," he said with a frown, "Which are you in now then?" Behind him major work could be seen happening to the Locust with a new torso component going up.

Felicity suddenly looked mightily offended. "You had heard? Don't you keep track of all the mechs? How could you not notice Kiara missing?" The anger had turned to hurt as she spoke because of his thoughtless comment.

"I'd been busy with fixing things all yesterday so that the commander could go for round 2 today. James spent most of the day up in the fighter bay fixing those," he sighed, "Then the commander told us he wanted to use his Dragon this morning. It has been crazy. You the one that got legged or the one that got crashed into?"

She didn't care that they'd been busy. So had she been, and her life had been directly under threat. She had lost something precious and he was moaning about a hectic schedule.
The catgirl glowered at him. There was some redness around her eyes.
"The Major shot down an aerospace fighter and it kamikaze dove at me. I was piloting the Phoenix. The mech you said needed to be in a museum that you promised you would look over. It's just charred debris now after that thing crashed into me. I barely ejected in time. Thanks for your concern, si? At least you won't have to maintain such an old antique now, si?"
She removes herself from his company with a sharp, dismissive hand gesture, stomping off to find the Valkyrie.
