The hangar echoed with the sounds of human activity, assistant techs shuttling tools to the mechtechs, crew sitting about and chatting, and in one corner, the furious tapping of a pen on paper, fingers on calculator, and the sipping of coffee.

In her corner 'office' of an LRM warhead crate and two fuel barrels, Nora Crossette was double checking inventory as they neared their destination. She was absorbed in her work, but seemed frustrated, or perhaps puzzled, by something.

Somewhere nearby was the newest of new hires, quietly watching people do their work in a totally not creepy way. Or at least a totally not *intentionally* creepy way. One of those people happened to be the quartermaster.

Nora didn't immeidately notice, consumed in her work as she was, before finally saying, in a quiet voice. "Dangit. Out of coffee. And Ammo. Not my morning..."

Freja took a sip from the cup of coffee in her hand, and kept staring.

After a moment, Nora looked up, and then blinked.

"You don't look busy. Are you busy?"

"...I'm drinking coffee," she said by way of an answer.

Technically, being 'busy' implied being engaged in an activity. And drinking coffee was, in fact, an activity. Of course, in practice, most people would not consider it to be a noteworthy enough activity to earn oneself the status of 'being busy'. And Freja certainly wasn't presently engaging herself in any other activity that might be deserving of that appellation.

One of the Echo Company scientists wanders in to the Mech bay, he wears a long while lab coat with a brown jumper underneath. He smiles as he slowly looks through the silent giants.

Nora kept her expression studiously neutral, and then took a sip of her own coffee.

"Well. When you aren't drinking coffee, I could use some help."

"What are you working on, I could see if I could pitch in"

Nora laughed. "If you'd like. We seem to have misplaced several tons of ammunition. I know it got loaded, but I don't know where."

Glancing at her pad, she added, thoughtfully, "I don't think it's in the hangar, I've done the round three, maybe four times... but if you keep an eye out while you wander about doing... science things... on the ship, you might turn it up."

Casting her gaze at the nearest mech, a Wyvern, she added, "Whoever flies that thing would appreciate it, otherwise they'll be mighty short on reloads."
