Wide Patrols (Day 1, EA, Rubble Coast)

(Day 1 Fortunate Sons Patrol)

"There's the coast."

After climbing yet another hill the small patrol head reached land's end. A somewhat desolate coastline stretched off from their left to their right. Felicity checked her sensors and, as usual, there were no readings. No 'mech power up detected' warnings. This was a good thing.

Her Phoenix had stopped atop the hill, but shifted it forward at a gentle pace. "Everyone holding up okay? Shall we investigate the area?"

[Freja Fogel]

Freja's stinger was nearby, keeping its proverbial eyes out in a different direction when the question came in over the radio.

"Sure. All nominal here."

[Marik Wa Mo Ishtal]

The Thorn also pulled up, ready to assist.

"Marik here - ready to assist. Do we have any plans besides patrol?"

[Felicity]

"Also nominal. Kiara's happy to be out." By which she meant she herself was happy to be out.

Felicity looked ahead through the reinforced canopy glass. "Not yet, but if there's anything interesting then we can scan it and take pictures."

[Freja Fogel]

"It's just water and... wait, is that... I think it is. Yes. It's a rock."

An actual sign of personality! Too bad it came in a rather monotone voice.

"Should I take pictures of the rock?"

[Felicity]

"That's definitely a rock. Pues... do you find rocks interesting?" Felicity really couldn't tell, at this stage, if Freja was joking or being serious.

"How about we follow the coastline further. North or South?"

[Marik Wa Mo Ishtal]

To himself, he says:
"Is it bad that this is my first time on this... beach? It's nice."

Realising by accident that his comms were on, a swear and fumbling can be heard as he begins directly speaking into the comms.

"Sorry, sorry - I'd say head South, unless we have a reason to go north. Call it a hunch."

(Once you all decide on a direction, you can roll either Investigation/Perception or Computers(Sensor Operation)/Perception.)

[Felicity]

Felicity chuckled before opening comms again. "The landbridge to Tartarus is to the South. I was thinking the North cause of that, since it's populated, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to check South. What do you think Freja? Your call." The Rasalhague pilot would get to break the tie.

[Freja Fogel]

"You outrank me, so I'll just vote north."
