"That's a bit better." She turned back to James and smiled. "Thank you. I'll report this back to the Major and see what he says. Eehm, as well as what you said about each bit."

The dubious merchant got a slow nod and a 'thank you' before Felicity tiptoed to look for Mata. "What were you looking for James? I can help."

"Mainly, I came here for Mata. She was looking for a plush toy. It was something she could never get while we were captives of the pirates. And I didn't want to spend any money that wasn't necessary when we were freed since I didn't have a job."

He looked over and saw the exchange. "Looks like she found one. Well, I was also going to look for a neurohat if we had the time. See if I can get the merchant walking again."

"Ah, well, I can say you talked me down from 10. I can't have people thinking I"m a lightweight? Eh?" He broke into a guffawing laugh, and then passed over the plush Marauder. It was very squishy.

Winking at Colette, he added, "I'm doing grand, I sold a toy and saw you kind folks. She your girl?"

That was acceptable. She haggled the fake price she was going to claim she haggled from. That was something, right? "Deal. Thank you!" She hugged it.

She shook her head when asked about her being Colette's girl. "No. My mommy is dead. I am a mercenary like my daddy. We are working for Colette's company. She makes REALLY good food and is really nice." She admires her plushie. Life goal, achieved!

[Karlotta Roth]

Well, people did with their money whatever they wanted. "Aye, there was an answer I didn't expect. Doesn't look like the kind who drinks." Guess that's why he's taking stuff from Tycho. "You drink with Tycho often?"

"Uh, no," Bruun says somewhat gruffly. He looks around to see that Andrea isn't within earshot at the time, and continues in a voice that won't carry.

"I had a particular drink in mind and needed to borrow something from Snorri. Part of this is repaying with interest. And an improvement in quality," he sighs and shakes his head. "Hopefully most of this disappears in a Fortunate Ones victory party."

"Oh, so what they say is true. He didn't look weird to me when I talked to him." He did, Karlotta, you just have the worst awareness. "Though this may be because I arrived asking about what he had to do with the Combine and he got a little defensive. I mean, he didn't say, but not like he liked saying it." She replied at high-whisper volume, answering to Brunn's. "If you plan on throwing a party, by the way, I'm interested."

[Andrea DeTroyes]

With a polite nod to Andrea he offered her a smile. "Anything in particular you're after then?" He asked the noble, he wasn't exactly sure what her tastes were.

"Ah no, though helping to scavenge for usable material is certainly on the agenda....probably going to need it," Andrea rubbed her head, "Sooner rather than later."

She looked around, "...lot of junk to sift through to find a treasure."

Colette laugh. "I think I am a bit too young to have such smart child." She looked at Mata and smiled. "You are very kind monsieur Gates. I think you are ze only one around here wiz zese kind of toys." She remembered. ”Where did you get ze battery? Maybe we can test ze weave."

"He didn't look weird to me when I talked to him." He did, Karlotta, you just have the worst awareness. Bruun chuckles. "Snorri is... interesting. I reckon he's all right. Maybe a lot like me, 10 or 12 years ago." He gives Karlotta a light smile. "I'll make sure you get an invite. Can't have a party without the one keeping us all alive, right?"

"Yeah, that's the truth." Thomas replied with a nod. "Course I've been doing a lot of treasure hunting lately. Not always with a lot of success though.

Andrea notices her Lance Leader's little haul. "Well looks like someone has the priorities." She comments to Thomas, "Oh? What sort of things are you on the look for?"

Bruun straightens as he realizes Andrea is close by, and he smiles with even more pride than usual.

"Turns out I know a bit about talking to liquor merchants. Lots of practice, to be fair," he admits. "Let's just say I'm ready for the upcoming victory party," he says confidently. Then adds, superstitiously, "Knock on wood" and raps on a market table twice.

She chuckled at the wood knocking.

"Oh, heya back, DeTroyes. Got what you were looking for?"

Andrea sighs and shakes her head, "I see. I see. I hope you fight with as much enthusiasm and vigor as you had haggling for alcohol."

"Miss Roth," She inclined her head to Karlotta. "Maybe...its a lot to wade through."
