Can't Stop. Won't Stop. (Day 4 EM open, Hangar)

You look pretty young. "Yea, well, the Major thinks you have a lot of potential." She sounded neither unhappy or pleased about this. "So, I guess you've been piloting long enough."

“It was an unexpected choice by Herr Yuri. But I shall be trying 100 cents to do my best and be a good first sergeant. I know you have more experience, you went to an academy yes? Despite the instructors and their foolishness you just have learnt a lot?”

[Felicity]

The shift of topic to herself caught her off guard. Felicity played with the front of her hoodie. "Pues, I learned a little bit, yea. I've also been piloting my Phoenix for years." Slowly her wariness was decreasing, but she wasn't about to drop it quite yet.

[Theodore Beker]

Theo watched them both curiously. He was pretty sure he wasn't about to get dragged into a tug of war over where he should install weapon systems. Still mechwarriors could get catty over new shinies and lostech was certainly shiny.

He just nodded and smiled.

The shift of topic to herself caught her off guard. Felicity played with the front of her hoodie. "Pues, I learned a little bit, yea. I've also been piloting my Phoenix for years." Slowly her wariness was decreasing, but she wasn't about to drop it quite yet.

"This is good.....uh...."
Maja pauses for a moment, but damn it, she is committed to try her best
"Um, I know that you are looking at me when you are thinking I might not notice, and maybe you are thinking 'Oh, this one, she is very young and not knowing so much'. And yes, that might be true but uh, I am trying to learn a lot...can't age quicker but I am trying to learn a lot and I am trying to be the best first sergeant I can be."

Turning to Theodore
"Um...I do not know what you are thinking but...uh, I will also try to be a good first sergeant in terms of technicians...which I think means buying coffee and alcohol from time to time?"

[Felicity]

"Pues, okay, that's... something. Just... why'd you make such a fuss after the simulations?" It still bothered her. "Yea, I think you're young and inexperienced. Prove me wrong. You got promoted because you're not reckless, but then you leap at a Hetzer. It bugs me."

Doesn't she know the coffee is free? Felicity wondered if there was some sort of care in town she was missing out on.

"Well, I can't say I am against coffee and booze bribes from the NCOs," he laughed, "Just try to remember to give them out at the start or end of shift as appropriate."

“Well I look over and I saw you had a tail and it was most strange. I have never seen a human with one before and everyone else seemed to not be noticing. Now I am finding you are just like everyone else, just with tail. Next time I see someone with horns or gills or the like I will no, it Is just not so strange.”

“Of course. One cannot be bribing in front of everyone, it has to be times rightly.”

"It's, este, it's a Canopian thing." Felicity tried to explain. "I guess yea, they are pretty uncommon. Gills more so, horns less so." She shrugged. "Ok, so, you didn't mean anything bad by it? Eehm, I thought you were taking the- sorry. I thought you were mocking me the next day when you said I had a lucky tail." At the time she'd thought Maja was being sarcastic.

[Theodore Beker]

He blinked, "I-is it an unlucky tail? I'd have assumed you thought it was good luck or good fun."

[Felicity]

"It's not a four leaf clover. Do you think your thumbs are lucky thumbs? It's just my tail." Felicity states firmly. "Good fun, yes. Some superstitious item, no. I make my own luck, comprende?"
