Who to contact?

The Federated Commonwealth: The largest and most powerful state in the inner-sphere would be an obvious choice - they have both the military and scientific might to investigate these rumors... if they can be convinced. Why not give a little more knowledge to the superpower?: 2; 22%

The Draconis Combine: The rival state to house Davion, now on the back-foot, seems a reasonable choice, as they could use any advantage in these trying times. They might traditionally hate mercenaries, but times are changing, so maybe now is the time?: 0; No votes

The Free Worlds' League: This fractious state is full of competing interests, even if they don't do it to gain an advantage over a neighboring power, they might investigate for an advantage against internal rivals.: 2; 22%

The Capellan Confederation: This runt state, once a contender among the 5 great houses, now clinging desperately to that title, would be desperate enough to try any long shot if they think it may help them regain power. The leadership being arguably insane might also make them easier to convince.: 2; 22%

The Free Rasalhague Republic: This new state might be flexible and new enough to be interested in learning more - with a tenuous place in the galaxy, any allies to improve their position might be welcome.: 1; 11%

The Periphery: There are tons of tiny nations around the periphery, and some moderately sized ones as well... perhaps they, being closer, would be a natural choice to go investigate, even if their technology and resources are limited.: 1; 11%

The MRB: With powerful mercenary companies like the Northwind Highlanders and Eridani Light Horse tracing their roots back to the SLDF, they might be especially motivated to see if there was any truth to the rumor - and if not, other strong units like the Wolf's Dragoons might be interested in further expanding their impressive influence.: 1; 11%

POLL: Who to trust?

The choice has been made to reach out to a major power to inform them of the somewhat dubious claims made by James Hall about a power outside the periphery, though the identities of the sources will be kept secret.
