As the meeting was called she would have given a salute. Then she'd have settled back down to listen.
Felicity spoke up in agreement of Andrea's idea. She didn't think it would end the conflict, but it'd give them some initial advantages. "I agree with Andrea. A dropship is a big, easy target. If we know their likely landing then we can prepare an ambush. At the very least, if we can damage their dropship then we'll likely finish our own repairs first. That means we can change continent or even run completely. If we can get the hangars open at the starport then we can hide mechs there. Do we have any mines or ordinance we can set traps with?" Felicity looks up to gather her thoughts. "They'll likely have aerospace support so that hampers a long engagement, but we can't not use the opportunity to hit them without their land forces being in use. I mean, any aerospace they have will always remain a risk, yea? At the very least, we could hit the dropship just after it lands, from long range, or when they are unloading. Taking out their supplies will reduce their ability to fight. We can do that possibly from outside their dropship gun range. Some LRMs into the mech bay as soon as the doors open would be great. We found an extended range PPC too, si? That could be used to hit them repeatedly from outside their range if it still works. Other than that, we ought to have someone in one of the hover APCs to spy on them when they do unload. To see what they have."
She cleared her throat and pulled down her hat. She was wearing it again today. Sitting up straight she continued with some hesitation. "There is a lot we don't know. Whether they'll attack Human Edge, try to hire the pirates or just make a beeline for us. All of that's speculation. We can only go on known information, si? We don't know the enemy so we need recon. Until then, we should plan for the worse case scenario. If they have a full company of heavier mechs then we do, we need to fight in terrain we can use hit and run tactics. Ideally, we need to separate them. The Calico being here and just a few klicks away from them completely hampers that, or any defense in depth. They only need to unload, gather up and head here in one big group and we're forced into a pitched battle we'll be really disadvantaged in." She shakes her head. "Better to abandon the dropship and fight with guerrilla tactics if it came to that. Wear them down. No, the only chance we have, if they're as strong as can be, is hitting them early, throwing them on the back foot and getting them wound up, then using that to lure their forces to split them apart." She motioned her hands moving away from each other, her right then forming a fist that she split burst open. "Hit each element separately. Taking them down piecemeal in terrain that favours us. Otherwise we can only hope our new mechs mean we have some parity with them and we can fight them head on."
She scratched her cheek. "If they're frenzied hardliners they'll be after combat as soon as can be. The long travel time will only have made them tense. If we can attack them early, taunt them and break off I'm sure some will want to give chase. We can lure them into ambushes without letting them gather and cool down. Yea, that's all I can think of." Lifting her hands, showing she was done, Felicity sat back down.
