"I mean...do the pirates know about the Dragons? How broad was their transmission to us? Pirates usually aren't the smartest, so if we sell the idea that we are exposed, let them see it, and make them try to raid and take a bite out of the Black Dragons instead"

[Yuri Creed]

Yuri sighed. "I'd considered it, but they're just as likely to burrow in deeper to their fortifications and wait for backup. If we weren't directly sandwhiched between the two, it might be easier to try and arrange a grand melee, but as it stands... we'd be in between hammer and anvil, rather than assuming either role."

Yuri did look disappointed about that, but sometimes you didn't get to pull off the fancy tricks you imagined.

Snorri nods. "In that case, I agree with you Major. Sometimes chaos helps. Sometimes, it just means that you get it at both ends by trying to be too tricky"

What would a warrior back home do?

"Umm... well, what if a 'traitor' from our side sent a message that got intercepted by the pirates stating that they need to be routed out and destroyed to the man if the Black Dragons want to make this planet their new home base?"

James was still violating the warrior's rights by interfering with their meeting. But.... well, they didn't seem to care. There was a lot of cross caste work out of necessity. And besides, they could use this plan.

"Maybe use the boy? Have him sneak out a message warning them."

[Felicity]

Felicity tucked her hands into her hoodie pockets. "That'd probably just make them fortify themselves all the more. We'd probably have more luck convincing the Dragons that we're allied with the pirates. We could even claim the Major's there, gathering reinforcements. That might work, but I doubt we'd be so lucky."

[James Hall]

"Why not both? If we can discover if there is an actual spy among the crew, we can give them false information for a little bit. And it will back up the our false information to the pirates if they are attack. It will also help us fulfill our contract since if the Black Dragons destroy the pirates, the Echo company can take the mines when we throw the Dragons off world."

[Felicity]

The female mechwarrior shrugged a little. She didn't know either way. Hopefully others would have more to input.

Yuri considered it, and then said, "The problem is, this boy doesn't seem to be all that well regarded by the pirates. I'll consider it, but it may be an angle we can take if the battle drags out."

"The boy was used as a slave. We are treating him better as a prisoner than he was treated there. If we set him to deliver anything, he would just flee to where he lived before joining the Slate Eaters."
