Working with the holotank was not an easy task for Bruun, but it was getting easier as he occasionally spent time in the briefing room to expand his tactical knowledge. Which he was trying to do now, though his thoughts kept wandering from the combat info before him to what else might be possible.
He started to scratch his beard but, much of his scruff gone now, his hand basically just slid off.

Felicity tapped on the entryway. "Ola. Good afternoon, si?" She calls out, making her presence known. "How're you Bruun? Heard the big news?" She asks as she steps inside. She was, as ever, bundled up in her baggy hoodie. Her tail and ears were all relaxed however. The last few days she'd been in better spirits, however she was even happier right now.

Bruun, not having been all that focused anyway is quick to switch attention to Fee. And to pick up on the happy vibe, which he gives a little smile to.
"Hmm? I guess I ain't heard whatever's got you so pleased," he says, clearly interested to know.

"Jacob's Redoubt is an SLDF outpost and the techs and scientists have got the power back online. Heat, lighting, defensive systems, engineering - you name it. And it gets better." She sounded awfully pleased to be presenting this information as she strode over, plonking herself down on a nearby seat. "There were mechs still in the hangars. Pristine, beautiful mechs. Eight of them and parts." Felicity leaned forward with a huge grin. "You won't believe what they are."

Bruun sits and stares, amazement that they'd found even more mechs all over his face. "How in the world..." he whispers.
"Yeah, go on," he encourages, hugely curious.

"They're royals. Well, some are. They're all long lost, top of the line in their time, still cutting edge honestly, heavier mechs. Marauder, Archer, Warhammer..." She starts listing them out from the heavier models down to the lighter mechs.

Bruun's eyes are wide in amazement as she goes through the list.
"God damn," he says when she's finished. "This... How in hell is this company so lucky? I thought sure being called the Fortunate Ones was Creed tempting fate, but damn... This stupid backwater deathtrap is like a gold mine for Star League mechs..." Bruun wipes his hands over his face, half-convinced he's dreaming and must soon wake up.

"It's great, si? You should look over the specs and put in a request to transfer mech to Miss Crossette. They are worth it."
Felicity happily drummed her knees where she sat.
"Even better is the base. We could absolutely take it over. Make it our HQ and really expand."

Bruun starts trying to pull up details of some of the designs on the holotank as Fee is talking, some of them being pretty obscure to someone with limited historical perspective. As he reviews, and Fee's comment about setting up a base sinks in, Bruun starts to look uncomfortable.
"Uh, an HQ, right. That's... nice."

Felicity watched him thoughtfully. "What? You don't like that idea?"
