Hide and Seek (D4 EA Storage)

[Felicity]

Chuckling, Felicity ruffled Mata's hair. "Okay then, close your eyes and start counting."

She gently nudges Mata toward the second furthest compartment once James closed his eyes. Once inside, she looks flicks on the lights and looks around. She points to a few good spots in the short time they have. There was under a sheet covering some boxes, behind a stack of crates near the wall or the corner of the room behind barrels and more boxes. In the end Mata hid under the sheet while Felicity snuck behind the crates. Of course she flicked the light off first so he didn't know which compartment there were in...

[James Hall]

James had a little trouble, but he found them both. Of course, he didn't let Mata off that easy. "Oh. I am so tired of looking. Oh. This sheet looks comfortable. Maybe I should sit on it." He pokes it. "Feels soft. Nice place to sit." At that, Mata moved, revealing herself. He figured Felicity would be close by and eventually found her a few minutes before the time limit. "I found you." He didn't try to be playful like he was with Mata or anything that could be taken as rubbing it in. He did smile though. This sort of thing was still pretty awkward for the man who grew up with clear lines drawn between warriors and civilians.

[Felicity]

"You sure did. Nice." Felicity was all smiles as she hopped up and moved over to James and his daughter. "Your father has a good eye. Will he be as good hiding?" She looked between him and Mata. "We'll see!" The Free World League MechWarrior was in jovial spirits. "Where should I hide?" She asked aloud with more than a hint of mischief.

[James Hall]

James did not get what Felicity was doing and indicated a few spots while Mata began counting. He then hid by getting on a large crate that Mata would not be able to see unless climbed up somewhere.

[Felicity]

Nice idea! Felicity gave a double thumbs up with a big smile, looking very pleased. "Nice idea." She whispered very quietly before squeezing down into one of the spots he'd pointed out. It was between a bunch of sacks and crates. If she stayed sitting down it was like being in a hidden foxhole.

[James Hall]

Unfortunately for James, he raised Mata who after a few minutes decided to check higher ground and found him almost immediately. Felicity was a bit harder, but Mata managed to find her just before the time limit was hit.

"Gotcha!"

[Felicity]

"Nice! James' turn again then. You did really well Mata."

Felicity crouched down to offer Mata a high five.

[James Hall]

Mata nods her head. "You were really hard to find, but I found you." She seems unsure what to do and slowly high fives the woman. She then nods to herself. Clearly, she did it right.

"Let's strategize."

[Felicity]

"You did! Well done." Felicity enthuses, tapping Mata's hand gently when it moved close enough. "High five."

Hopping up again, she watches the father and daughter pair expectantly. "Do you want to seek together? I can up my hiding." She chuckled in a faux-villainous way. "Can you find me then?"

[James Hall]

Mata shook her head. "I meant let's strategize against him."

James shook his head. "Eight and already plotting against me. I see how it is."

Mata simply nods and looks to Felicity to see what she thinks of the idea.
