[Felicity]

"I'll do the hunchy and the cat for now. Let's have the Scorpions as round 2. I'm expecting feedback if you're going to watch, ok?" She paused for a moment. "Constructive feedback!" She hastens to add, looking at him with a slight pout. "I won't hit every shot." Who did?

[Theodore Beker]

"Sure, but I am going to tease you if that hunchy's autocannon catches you hard," he grins, "You put one in there." He pulled up a seat to watch the show.

[Felicity]

"I will avoid optimal range."

Felicity waves as she heads to the pod. "You can communicate with me during the sim if you like."

Entering and closing the pod, she adjusted her cooling vest and got herself set up. That meant slipping on her neurohelmet. Then she began the simulation.

The terrain was temperate. A forested valley with a river, with patches of open ground. Felicity started by moving up with her jump jets to get a better view from higher ground. In the far distance, beyond a great deal of foliage, the Hunchback was wading through the trees. Behind it, among some more open hills, was the Catapult. It had spotted Felicity's mech. The LRM tubes opened as it searched for a lock. Felicity quickly fired a shot before jumping back behind a hill as LRMs headed toward where she had been.

[Theodore Beker]

"Sure," he put on a headset, "Alright, dodged one." He inspected the ai details, "Plenty to go."

[Felicity]

"I know. Need a new angle."

Her Griffin turned and made its way along behind the ridgeline to hide itself. So far she was enjoying the handling. It was very responsive.

"Here we go." Having spotted some dense trees ahead Felicity jumped up and into them, searching for targets again. The Catapult had taken some high ground in woods, while the Hunchback had moved up to intercept any direct attack. This time Felicity popped off a PPC blast at the Hunchback. Meanwhile she was being shot at by all the LRMs of the Catapult. Some did end up damaging the armour on her left side, but it was minor.

[Theodore Beker]

"Playing it cautious, huh?" He said watching, "Can't blame you too much."

[Felicity]

"The Catapult pilot's not a bad shot and both mechs have too much armour for me to get through at closer ranges without some softening up, si?" Felicity responds when she was back behind cover and out of line of sight. She was being very cautious, but she had no need to rush. She was testing the machine. So far the double heat sinks were keeping her frosty. She was sure that would only change if she fired all weapons after jumping in close.

"I've never piloted a Griffin before. It handles well. The actuators are balancing the extra weight of the right arm well. I can't feel it."

Felicity doubled back to her original point of attack, wondering what the enemy would be doing.

[Theodore Beker]

"Looks like the hunchy has figured out your little dance and is closing," he said watching, "And that cat is just getting bead on you."

[Felicity]

"Don't tell me. I wouldn't know in combat. That said, good. I want to break them up a bit."

Felicity hopped back up to the hill she had first occupied. She landed another hit on the Hunchback. It would soon be in range for her SRMs. Conversely, so too would it be in range for an AC-20 shot. She jumped away to a further hill line to make further use of her range advantage. The Catapult, meanwhile, was changing locations to a slightly closer wooded spot on the highest hill in the area.

[Theodore Beker]

The Hunchy barreled forward opening fire while the catapult let another volley fly. He winches as he watches simulated explosions wreath the Griffin, "That looks like it hit you pretty soundly."
