Andrea stiffened at the sudden touch, "I suppose I have."

"Ah...well I will go back eventually, its just..." She frowned, tensing up, "I needed some time out from under the shadow of my family. My father and sister are both officers in the elite 2nd Crucis Lancer RCT, and Winston...he is a silver star wearer AND a Leftenant in the Davion Heavy Guards, the Davion family's most favored RCT. I was just a soldier in the 17th Avalon Hussars, I was a in the top ten at NAIS but both of my siblings were top of their class in NAIS and Albion. Everything I was is just a lesser version of their accomplishments. It was suffocating."

While she only knew the basics of the AFFS, as conflict with them was scarce with the FWL, she knew enough to follow. The main detail she picked up on quick. Andrea was here to escape and spread her wings. She could relate to that.

Felicity worked to give Andrea a gentle massage. "You've very stiff Andrea. This much tension isn't good." She points out. "It can't help your playing either." All true. Her tail moved to poke Andrea's cheek. "So, you joined up with mercenaries to escape and make a name for yourself. I can understand that. Now you're piloting an old star league heavy mech, si? Things are looking promising already, si? What's gotten you so tense? You didn't lose a mech today."

"...I wasn't expecting a massage." Andrea replied as she brushed away the tail, "Promising? I suppose but the Ostsol is the company's and not mine."

She sighed and relaxed some, "...I was trying to avoid talking about your mech. I was not sure how painful it would be for you. But if you want to talk about it, I will provide an ear and some sympathy."

"Those lose of Sly...my Commando...would have upset me."

[Felicity]

"I can stop if you prefer, or you can give me one." I'd like that more, but you really do have stiff shoulders. Her tail fell back down to her side naturally enough. "Perhaps you can agree something with Miss Crossette?"

Then Andrea shifted topics. Felicity realised she had opened the way for that one. "I'm not sure I want to. It's... it's very raw, si? I feel like shit. I keep playing back the fight leading up to it, but I don't think I could have avoided it. I just didn't know it was coming. Like walking into a hidden minefield while your sensors aren't working; there's nothing you can do." She sighed deeply as her massage became a little firmer. "It's frustrating. I don't even know how badly wrecked Kiara was, or if she's still there." The massage paused as Felicity trembled a little. "I abandoned her."

Andrea sets her violin down, and gently pushes off Fee's hands. Standing up she turns to look her in the eyes, grasping Fee's shoulders. "You did not, Kiara stood with your family for generations yes? Well she died saving a member of that family. It is a warriors death."

"Battle sometimes has unexpected results, not always in one's own favor." She frowned, "Sly lasted past his original family, the last of the line dead from a lucky shot to the cockpit as she was covering a retreat."

"Tomorrow we will sweep these Black Dragons from the field and then you can lay Kiara to rest properly. Focus on that for now." Andrea smiled warmly. "Revenge doesn't bring what was lost back, but it can make one feel better all the same."

[Felicity]

"She deserved better..." Felicity rejects Andrea's reasoning at first. Looking down, her ears braced against her head, she listens amid trembles. Her face is tightly set. She didn't want to start bawling in front of anyone.

"Mm..." She gave a small nod to the talk of revenge. "They're maniacs that need to be put down." She shuffled her feet before giving her eyes a couple days. "S-sorry. I'm ruining both our evenings."

« C'est rien, mademoiselle. » Andrea smiled with a sly smile, but her expression turns serious again. "Sometimes the universe has other ideas on what things are deserved."

She nodded, "Focus on that for now, mourn later. Others lives depend on it."

[Felicity]

Murmuring acknowledgement, Felicity moved back to take a seat on Andrea's bed. She idly wondered what shampoo the other woman used.

"How're you finding the Company command so far?"

[Andrea DeTroyes]

"A bit more loose then I expected," Andrea retakes her own seat, "Different from the AFFS's command structure. More then I had expected to be honest."

"I am pleased they listen to suggestions, though that sort of flexibility is expected."

[Felicity]

"Same..." Felicity twiddled her thumbs. "It's kind of hands off."

She perked up when Andrea mentioned listening to suggestions. "What did you suggest? Eehm, and to who?"
