[Felicity]

"I've got one. I'll use it after round two, Scorpion boogaloo. You're setting it up, si?" Felicity queried with a big smile his way.

[Theodore Beker]

"Oh, it is planned out. You wanna bet on how many you can take?" he smirked at her, "Friendly nonsense preferably. Like dare level stuff."

[Felicity]

"How many will you put me up against first?"

She listened to his response and his expression became stern. "That's going to be tough. Hmm. Maybe... twelve? If it's against regular pilots. No. Fifteen. Pues... what do you think? Are we doing closest number wins?"

[Theodore Beker]

"Lets put 24 on the map. Twelve class 5 autocannon ones and four each of the Medium laser, LRM and SRM variants?" he grinned, "Think of it as a target rich environment. As per the standard scenario canyon pass for terrain. If you are thinking 15 I think I'll low ball you and say 8. So what we playing for?"

[Felicity]

"Okay, that works." She gives a thumbs up.

"You said a dare." Felicity reminds him.

[Theodore Beker]

"Yeah, nothing that hurts anyone else. No, go slap the Major," he finished programming the scenario, "You are good to go by the way."

[Felicity]

"Okay. Let's see how this goes..."

Felicity returned to the pod. Once more she strapped herself in and put on her neurohelmet. This time the battlefield was a rocky and open canyon, with only a few trees and hills. She was right in the middle of it. A quick glance at her scanner display confirmed multiple hostiles closing.

From all directions.

"Hell. I forgot how annoying this scenario is."

Felicity hopped her mech up onto the closest patch of woods in a hill to begin checking exactly which enemies were where, and to open fire before they entered optimal range. The next few minutes would be intense.

[Theodore Beker]

"Yeah, it is a crazy run. Best of luck. Shoot like, maybe ten of them please?" he chuckled, "Four swarms of six coming at you as requested."

The tanks came barreling at her through the assorted valleys. It wasn't long before autocannon shells and missiles were coming at her from all over.

[Felicity]

Felicity tried to head in one direction to start separating the enemy to deal with them piecemeal. This worked at first, but by the time she had destroyed five tanks nearly the entirety of the rest were nearby and there wasn't any way she could escape the area without taking damage.

So she took damage.

The Scorpions were harder to destroy or incapacitate than she'd remembered. Often they needed a full volley of SRMs after a shot from her PPC. Eventually, her SRMs ran dry and she was left with just her PPC and melee attacks. She didn't last too long after that.

Nonetheless she took out 12 of them before a back to back second and third hit to her mech's head finished her run.

[Theodore Beker]

"Eleven. Okay... tied... Oh! She's going down and... the PPC blew one!" he looked at the pod, "Well, you won but it was a nail-bitter."
