Thomas sat in the mess, a deck of aging cards in front of him as he played a game of solitare. He'd brought out a bottle of whiskey from his things and was drinking a bit from a coffee cup as he played.
Not that he was winning, but he was mostly looking for a way to pass the time.

There’s a quiet ‘woosh’ as someone enters the mess and tries to slam a powered sliding door with absolutely no success.“Son of dogs!”
Then whoever it is mutters something incomprehensible in a mix of Swedish and English before heading for the currrntly deserted bar.

"Good dogs or bad dogs?" Thomas asked, looking up to see who was making all the racket. "I imagine it's the bad kind from all the rest of the cursing." He added as he caught sight f the short woman making her way towards the bar.

Maja appears to be leaning over the counter and rummaging among the bottles present.Slightly muffled “the worst dogs! Traitors and murders. I like dogs but if I see one of these it will be put down.”

"Likely best." Thomas replied with a grimace. "People like that will just rot a group from the inside if you let em stay."
He glanced towards the one where she was bent over the counter. "Anything good back there?"

A sound of minor frustration.“Not really, I do not even know the words. ‘Pinot noir’, ‘Pinot Gris’, Chardonnay? Very strange brands.”
After some more rummaging she grabs a large glass container of some amber liquid and shrugs before claiming a cleanish glass and making her way over to Thomas“You are here playing cards Herr Cesar?”

"Those are types of wine, is that your drink of choice?" He dipped his chin towards the bottle of amber liquor. "Or willing to take your chances?"
"But yeah, more or less." He picked up his coffee cup and took a sip. "Care to join?"

“Wine? The grape drink? I have not drunk wine before, too expensive for me I think.”
Sloshing the amber liquid“I will take the chances. It cannot be too bad.”
There’s a half second to weigh up his offer before she nods and settled in opposite to him, tucking her legs beneath herself. “Have you stakes?”

"Depends on what your willing to bet." Thomas replied as we shuffled the cards. "Cbills? Something else maybe?"
"But yeah, the grape drink. Its here for trying too if you ever get a wild hair."

“Ach. I do not have cbills. One day maybe, but not now. We will have to find someone thing else... but not the grape juice either, probably not even one day.”
