It had been a day of mixed highs and lows for Bruun, but he figured another run in the simulator should put him in a comfortable frame of mind for piloting his new mech in combat the next day.
And he didn't plan to be alone. Clad in his piloting ensemble of just cargo shorts and short work boots, he double-checked the programming on the simulators and took a swig of water as he awaited his guest.

It isn't long before a clatter of boots on metal heralds the arrival of Maja who seems to be finalising her outfit as she hops along at speed."Ah, Bruun! Sorry I am late, leadership things were happening. Lots of talk talk talk, enough to make the head rotate."

Bruun chuckles and nods his head. "Yeah, that sounds about right."
"You ready for this?" he says, pointing at a simulator, though it's not an ideal choice of words from the tall, shirtless veteran.
"Should be good to go. Simple duel to warm up, then anything you want to practice, I'm game."

"Ahhh, you are wanting some one on one? Be careful now, for with Wurm I cannot be defeated."
She certainly seemed confident enough"Afterwards I have some ideas but for now, you must prepare yourself with your new mech."

"Excellent," Bruun says, liking the confidence. Was that a little smirk?
The veteran hops into one simulator and gets ready to rock. Once he's settled in, he opens a comm line to the other simulator.
"Alright Stitches, don't go easy on me. You and Wurm probably have an advantage, but my new girl and I gotta learn how to dance real well real fast." He pauses. "This scenario is simple, just some rolling hills and woods... Ugh, reminds me of the site of that ambush the other day," he says with a groan. Clearly could have planned this better...

Day 4 fluff battle/perception:
5d10o10k3 10“At least you will not have to be watching above? And there is no Hetzer to do the damage.”
Maja gleans absolutely no tactical knowledge from a quick scan of the field even as she starts the wyvern into a slow walk and begins trying to get a lock on Bruun’s machine.

Bruun seems to have lured Maja into a trap without even trying too hard, as his Firefly bounds over a small hill to set up the line of attack he'd hoped for.
The veteran seems to be getting the hang of the new mech type as he smoothly cruises toward optimal shooting range.
-----------
Tactics/Per roll:
30, because why not?
Piloting/Dex roll:
23.

"Ach, look at this, already he has me in his sights."
The Wyvern tries to evade the target lock but can't seem to find any good cover out of the elevated firefly's sight lines.

Bruun leaves his comm line open.
"Alright, Stitches, so whatcha gonna do when the bad guy is closing in?" Bruun's Firefly slows and launches a salvo of five missiles, though it seems like more of a taunt than an actual attempt to strike Wurm.

“Yes yes, I am knowing.”
Maja and throws Wurm around to line up all its weapons on Bruun’s machine before firing everything in a giant volleyDay 4 fluff gunnery/reflexes:
