Dispossessed mess (D5 EA Mess)

[Felicity]

Felicity slid into one of the booths wearily. She had a tray half full of food, but she was glum. Her stomach rumbled however. She had to eat something. Her fork was dug into a sausage in what could have passed for a stabbing motion. She sighed before having a bite. It was chomped to pieces without enjoyment.

Looking across the booth to Snorri she just sort of huffs. "I hate planes." She blinked a few times and then she forces open her eyes. "We both came back alive..." Another sigh. "Yay." She was missing Kiara pretty bad. In the showers and in her room changing she'd needed some time to herself to work through her feelings and recompose herself. There had been sobbing. Right now she looked miserable as she sipped her water.

"Have you looked at any of the backup mechs?"

[Snorri Tycho]

Snorri looks a similar measure of miserable, stirring his food with a spoon but not yet eating it.

"Yeah. Yay, us"

Survival had its costs. That was normal, but in this case it was dear.

"I don't know yet. Vanguard already claimed the ones we found so maybe they are up for grabs... But they got shot up too. I think the Thorn might be free. I'm looking for some payback on those Panthers. It's rare that you get payback and profit at the same time"

[Felicity]

"Yea..." Felicity replies lethargically. "I'll have to see what's there. If Bruun's new ride is ok, then maybe the Valkyrie." She sighs and slumps back in her seat. Her tummy rumbled again, but she ignored it. "Any idea how they did? I've not spoken to any of them yet."

[Snorri Tycho]

"Well, no one is looking like us, so I expect that it turned out better." Snorri finally shovels some food into his mouth.

" Thank you though. I heard you threaten that Spider pilot to stay away from me. That was... impressive. And incredibly attractive." There is surprisingly little smarm in the words. " Thank you. "

[Felicity]

Felicity murmured an affirmative as she sat up and started to pick at her meal.

"I would have trod on him if that Spider started firing into the woods. It had me worried. That pilot was really reckless."

The compliment drifted by her utterly. Due to the circumstances she just didn't have the headspace for it.

[Snorri Tycho]

"he's finished at least. I would be impressed at the Major's ability to shoot down annoying targets except for, you know... "

[Felicity]

Felicity scratched her open left hand along the top of the table as her tail thumped left and right. She gave Snorri a hard look as she stabbed her fork into the French fries. She brushed their side against the ketchup before popping the whole lot into her mouth and chewing. However, she made a grunt of acknowledgement finally to his point.

Evidently it was still a very, very sore topic.

[Snorri Tycho]

Snorri doesn't pipe up for a while, feeling the mood.

"I know that they're all metal and wires. Why does it feel like a lost a friend?"

[Felicity]

"Cause most metal and wires aren't keeping you alive, fed and with a purpose." Felicity states grumpily. "Kiara had so much history too... My fam..." She shuts up and has some more fries.

[Snorri Tycho]

Snorri notices the hestitation. "I don't know if I told you everything about my Hussar? I was in a mixed unit, not just Rasalhague regulars. Word came down that they wanted purges, and my name was coming up. I wasn't going to wait around to find out. My Hussar is what I used to run to survival"

"But it seems like yours is something more" Snorri reaches for her hand, lightly draping his fingers over hers.
