Human Edge

I think this is it. Hope so.

Felicity very gently rapped her knuckles on the door.

"Miss Rupelle?"

This was her last stop of the day before bed, but she didn't feel too tired yet. The excitement from the morning still hadn't abated.

"Oui!" She opened the door and saw Felicity. "Felicity! What brings you here?"

Wearing big warm socks and an oversized red hoodie, Felicity was dressed for comfort this evening. She lifted her right hand in greeting toward Colette.

"Thanks for staying up. I'm glad you got my message. Eehm, I wanted to share an idea with you. Maybe see if you might help." Felicity started, keeping her voice down. "Thomas Moreno and I were thinking of putting a BBQ together."

Colette was wearing an oversized long sleeve shirt, warm fluffy socks and her bunny slippers. She chuckled. "A BBQ? Huh..." she analyzed the idea and jumped in glee. It was late and the day was quite exciting. "Mais Oui! I can make a great sauce and roast some vegetables." She took Felicity 's hands and jumped again. "Fire will keep us pretty warmed up."

Felicity bounced about with her in the entryway, grinning. "Yea!" She glanced back into the corridor and then to Colette before making a quieting gesture with one hand. She then pointed into Colette's room. "Talk more inside? I don't want to wake anyone up."

Colette giggled. "Oh... c'est vrai...come in, come in" Her room was decorated with a few things. There was hideous looking harp on a table and a few poorly made drawings on the wall. Her little friend was on the chair.

The Free Worlder noted them all with interest. She particularly wanted to find out about the little robot. However, one thing at a time. She kept herself focused.

"Thank you. I'm really glad you're so keen to help. Thomas, Bruun and I will hunt for some meat. Maybe a few others. I just need to ask the Major for permission for the BBQ next. I was thinking that if we can predict a day that might have better weather, that might be warmer, we could even have a trip to the coast." Felicity did a little dance, moving left and right with her hands up above her head. "I brought a swimsuit." She was very pleased by this. "A beach trip and a BBQ would be a good way of celebrating us getting the base on Limbo working, si? We could even put on some entertainment."

"Well if not I can try and smoke some meats wiz some of ze local woods. Zat would be interesting n'est pas?" She giggled.

"Yea, that'd be nice too." Felicity agrees cheerfully. "If we got enough we could even invite some of the locals, si?"

Felicity hovered about just inside Colette's room. She was glad the door was shut so they could talk without fully quietening their excitement.

"Or would something smaller be easier? I need to figure out how much meat we need."

"It doesn't matter if it is big or small. Big game means a big fetê, small means just a fetê." She smiled and offered a seat on her bed. "Prep is not a problem wiz eizer one..." She mused. "Zere are many zings we can do... a rotisserie if not ze bbq."
