Practice makes perfect (Day 15 Early Afternoon, Hangar)

[Thomas Moreno]

"I suppose so if that's the end of it." Thomas replied as he took a step back, to give andrea some distance, and the ability to retrieve her foil.

"Either way it was a good match. I'd be lying if I said i expected most of you Mech pilots to have too many combat skills outside your machines."

[Andrea DeTroyes]

Andrea picked up her foil, "Oh ho? Surprised the tough as leather infantryman did I?"

"Well then...a drink it is, Mr. Moreno." She smirks, "The end? For now I suppose...but stay on guard, I might win the next time."

[Thomas Moreno]

"I mean, it does seem like you can use some cardio." He teased. "Not sure you're any good with that pistol you carry either."

"But a drink then." He smirked and tossed his knife into his other hand. "Next time I might fight you left handed then? Just to confuse you."

[Andrea DeTroyes]

Andrea frowned, "...yeah, I suppose my stamina is lacking." She looked off to the side with a pensive expression. Andrea shrugs and looks back, "Well perhaps I will fight left handed next time as well."

[Thomas Moreno]

"It happens, not many here do much in the way of running." Which wasn't unusual given they weren't in the military. "Not that such really hold you back in a mech."

Tucking away his weapon he took out a coin and started dancing it across the knuckles of his left hand. "You're just as good with your left as your tight then?"

[Andrea DeTroyes]

"Probably not....but willing to give it a go," Andrea smirked, "To be honest left-handers had the advantage at fencing."

[Thomas Moreno]

"A bit weird fighting someone lefthanded." He agreed with a nod. "It's not something you encounter frequently after all, so the angles are all a bit different."

[Andrea DeTroyes]

"Like fighting a mirror, and just as frustrating." Andrea agreed, "Might I ask how you acquired your interest in knife work? Basic training or a hobby?"

[Thomas Moreno]

"A bit of both. Knives are a useful thing after all, as much a tool as a weapon." Swords weren't quite like that. "Carried one when I was young as a tool learned how to use it as a weapon intended military."

[Andrea DeTroyes]

"Got any other favored weapons?" Andrea raised a brow, "For close in fighting I mean, I assume you know your way around an assault rifle."
