[D2 LE] Tis But A Scratch (Open)

After limping her beloved Wurm back to base and nervously flitting around the mechanics and engineers looking over the damage Maja had been shooed off to the impromptu med clinic on the other side of the hanger to give the workers some space.
Still, even as she held an icepack to her new black eye the pilot hadn't taken the other off her mech. That was fixable....right? Probably...totally.

With Blondie safely home and awaiting her turn at inspection by the mech techs, Bruun had taken about 30 seconds to towel sweat off his head, pull a loose flannel shirt on with his cargo shorts, and head for Wurm's bay to check on Maja. I want her ok. And I want her hurt, because she needs to learn...
Seeing the ice pack but no bandages, Bruun sighs in relief. And probably ends up angrier as a result.
"First Sergeant Eklund," he says sternly. "Are you ok?"

Bruun sits on a crate close by so he's not yelling at her. And so when he leans forward and glares it'll be uncomfortable.
"Yeah, we did," he says tiredly. "But we were real close to some of us not making it." He looks at her intently.

"She's a damn sight more use than a mech without a pilot," he snaps. He's trying not to yell at the young woman, but Bruun's hardly a subtle man, and he is upset.
"Did you see how damn close that Hetzer gun came to Wurm's head... Where you were?"

The word scared resonates with Bruun, and he knows scaring her too much will only make things worse.
"Look, I'm not your boss, and I'm not your big brother, but I need to know why you tried to DFA that Hetzer. Because I want to help you be a great first sergeant," he says encouragingly.
