Calm Before the Storm (Day 16 EE, diner, open)

[Felicity]

"You can do this. Just punt it if it gets close."

The first round seemed to be really easy so he had good odds.

[Theodore Beker]

He opens up with salvos that largely miss while shrugging off the light fire from the Urbanmech. "Oh, come on! You are going down!" he lights fires off a set of rapid fire alpha strikes only landing a scattering of missiles. At which point the mech shut down. The urbanmech spun in a flourish before firing an autocannon shot directly to the Atlas's head.

Victorious the Urbanmech did a cute little victory pose while not entirely serious music played.

[Felicity]

"You... este... overheated and shut down?" Felicity shakes her head. "Wow. That was really bad." She rubs his back. "There, there, si? I'm sure there has been a case of an Urbanmech beating an Atlas before in real life too."

[Theodore Beker]

"Well, mechs overheat you know," he said defensively, "It isn't that unusual."

[Felicity]

"There was a heat bar." Felicity had spotted it early on. "I think there was a message about override for a moment, but I don't know how you do that." She moved past him to read the top display. It was laminated and dusted. She used her hoodie sleeve to brush some off and check underneath. It had the common controls. "Eehm..." She looked for how to avoid a shutdown.

[Theodore Beker]

He blushed a little. "Anyways... food?" He asked.

[Felicity]

"Este... one second..." She kept reading the small text, thankfully in English, before coming across the controls. "There you go! It says to hit those three... buttons together." She points to them. "That stops the shutdown, but your health lowers." She looked back to the table. "Yea, food sounds good. I am really starving."

[Theodore Beker]

"Um, right," he said blushing, "I should have, um, done that."

[Felicity]

"Next time."

She rubs his lower back before bouncing back to their seating. She really hoped their meals would be ready soon, or at least the starters.
