The cloth seemed to contract, the weave tightening into a rigid square. Perhaps the opposite effect of curling or bending that had been expected - only the edges where it wasn't woven managing to do that.

Colette eyes brighten as the cloth moved. This was exciting even if the results weren't what was expected. She nodded and clapped. "Wow, Monsieur Bates that is quite interesting. I wonder what it would do with higher voltage."

[Comstar]

"Well, I imagine it would have real problems with those ends loose, but that's a neat thing. Maybe you could make some sort of... collapsable tent or something? I don't know. Something to use a rigid cloth for, I'm sure!"

With a chuckle, he added, "Keep the battery, might as well see what it gets when you make something fancier."

[Felicity]

"Soooo, found what you're each looking for? There's a lot of stuff here." Felicity comments to the group.

[Thomas Moreno]

"Yeah, im gonna grab a couple bottles and a box or two of rounds."

Nothing too much so far. "Nothing else really jumped out."

[Felicity]

"Do they have any guns?" She looked around again, but didn't see any. "Eehm, human sized I mean."

[Thomas Moreno]

"Yeah, but I don't particularly need any more of those." He replied as he gestured towards a stall not far off.

"Anythinhg in particular you're after?

[Felicity]

"Just browsing really." Felicity admits. "Thought I'd have a look at this place before everything goes to... you know. Eehm, tomorrow."

[Thomas Moreno]

"Probably wise, might do a bit more shopping then I intended with that in mind." He mused.

Maybe they had a few other things he needed?

[Dorgan Bruun]

Bruun, overhearing the prediction of the future, quietly knocks on one of the tables twice and says, "Knock on wood they're wrong."

[Felicity]

"I'm going to see if the Major will budget for a few purchases of the mech weapons and lostech they have on sale here." She tells the others when they were far from the shifty merchant. "Even if we don't use them we can probably sell them for a good profit off world."
