This day Colette brought her friend 4 Mason jars filled to the brim with soup, her version of condensed canned soup. She had asked to have a tape measure to start on the man's leg. "Monsieur... are you here?" She called. Maybe she could get to know some of the populous like the bar keep.

Her escort probably grumbled taken out of his post and into the rain to keep an eye on petite Colette.

Well, at least a little.

But then grumbling was kinda required from soldiers of all kinds. If you didn't grumble now and then the brass would get worried.

"Eh, is it the angel with the manna?"

The man limped over, pegleg giving him that strange swaying gait. "It is! Some day perhaps, I'll learn her name and remember it after the drinking."

A guffaw, and he rested against his shop counter with one wrinkled hand.

Colette jumped of joy seeing the man still alive. "Hello... I brought you soup as promised and for a rainy day nothing is better than soup." Then she gave it some thought. "Well maybe a warm embrace but zen again soup is like a warm embrace of ze belly." She giggled. "This may last for a few days."

"Ah. Thank ye very much."

The man pushed the pile of fibers, clearing a small space where they could be set.

"I was working on those dolls you mentioned, and I can't say as I've got it yet, but it's more fun than I was expectin."

She placed the jars on the space. "Petit step, just like me" She giggled. "I want to take some measurements of yours. Maybe I can help monsieur with making you a prosthesis." She smiled.

For his part Thomas kept an eye on the area as much as the young woman and the old drunk. He was here as an escorting after all. It was his job to keep an eye open for anything odd.

"Well, I won't stop ya, though I thought that fixer man was going to do it."

He scowled. "He didn't force you to do 'is work, did he?"

Colette shook her head. "it is out of my own volition." She smiled. "while I measure you can tell me about ze barkeep."

"Eh? Lily Fieldin? What about er?"

The man sat, kicking his feet out.
