Human Edge

Bruun had been visiting Human Edge regularly, trying to be helpful as Lily recovered from losing a lot of stock. But tonight was for dinner and celebrating Colette's beer. Bruun had invited a number of their colleagues to attend, though he personally would be happy to go with just Colette.

Colette was very happy to know that her brew was one of the few lucky ones to make it. Lilly probably is happy that it worked out. She just smiled at the keep and tried to keep warm placing her hands inside her clothes.

It hadn't been an unpleasant drive, but the cold air between the vehicle and the bar doors had been more than enough to make Bruun very happy to be inside. Looking less scruffy also meant feeling more of actual temperatures on his head and face, and he hoped it was worth it.

"I'm excited to try this, Colette," Bruun says with excitement. "Miss Lily seems to think you made something lucky," says the man with a strong affinity for lucky things.

Colette giggled. "You did knocked on wood. You say that would. bring luck." She smiled. "I wonder if I could take some for the crew specially Monsieur Novak and comandant Alexei... I did promise them."

Bruun smiles, as he always does with Colette. Although he also makes a slightly serious face.

"Shouldn't you and Lily have figured this all out? Like how much is yours and how much is hers? I reckon she's got it figured out in her head, even if you haven't agreed." Bruun starts to look concerned.

Wandering into the scene, as if completely lost previously, was Marik. He appeared to be taking in the local area, although his usual midriff exposing vest had been replaced with a thick coat.

He turned to the two Colette and Bruuun before realising he was intruding.

"Forgive me - is now a bad time?"

"We had an open agreement so I think 50/50 should be good." She noted Marik. "Monsieur Marik... come here to see what your favorite chef had made?" She giggled.

Bruun rolls his eyes and shakes his head at the other man's obliviousness. But he had hardly tried to call this a date, so he had no reason to chase him away.

"Yes, Marik, have a drink with us. Of Colette's new beer recipe. And dinner, if you like, of course." Bruun's smile seems welcoming.

Marik returned to smile to both of them.

"Thank you - you honour me. I admit, I was mostly wandering when I stumbled upon this place - is there anything I can do in return of for the gifts you offer?"

Jan entered and looked around, rubbing his nose with the bandages wrapped around his hands. He remained in the doorway, considering his next stop.
