Human Edge

James and Mata walked with Colette to find the merchant. James carried the leg under his arm wrapped in a blanket while Mata carried her plush Marauder.

Colette brought some mason jars and her new friend. It was a bit buggy but it was just cute thing she wanted to show mr. Bates. "I hope we don't need to adjust much."

"It should be alright. I tried to make things like adjustments as easy as possible."

Mata kept eying Colette's friend. She wanted to ask about it, but this was about Merchant Bats's leg.

"Zat is great news zen Monsieur Hall." She nodded. "Monsieur Bates will happy to get it."

"I hope so. And I thank you again for all of the help you gave me. I never tried making something original before."

Mata asks, "What about my toys?"

James chuckled, "Well, I never made anything this complicated before." He turns back to Colette. "So, thank you for helping me with that."

Mata nods. "Colette can do anything. She cooks. She makes legs." She looks at the little robot. "I heard she even stabbed a spy."

Colette smiled. "Pas probleme Monsieur Hall." She looked at Mata. "I was just protecting our current home. I don't like it but it is part of life, I guess." She shrugged "We can do anyzing if we put our minds to it."

In the back corner, his little 'shop' had been largely put back in order after the mess, and though he was still a little bit banged up, George Bates was still cheerfully picking away at something or other, trying to weave some threads together.

As they approached, James said "Hello Merchant George Bates." He sets the leg on the table and lets Colette do the talking. She's good at that.

Mata is practically bouncing with excitement.

"Monsieur Bates!" Colette as well was excited. "We have gift for you! ~I brought you some pasta~" She giggled.

George looked between the pair. "Well. I appreciate that very much young miss. Been more than a week now though. You don't owe me nuthin."

Setting down the half-finished doll he had been trying to make wave when charged, he added, "I won't say no to your good cookin though, no I won't."
