The BBQ commences (D19 EE open)

[Colette Rupelle]

Colette continued to prep the dessert table. She cut the torte in sections showing the many layers of the cake. It was quite the sight as the colors of apricot jam and chocolate cream between the cakes made a contrast and quite pretty. She looked at busy Lizy and Bruun and wondered if she could help them. "If any of you need some assistance I think I am done here. Just let me know."

[Felicity]

"So. You're an ass man?" Felicity queries rather deadpan. "I see." She stared at him before turning around to poke the meat. As she did she wiggled her bottom left and right, her skirt and tail fluttering. She glanced over her shoulder at him. "What cut do you want Bruun?" She asks cheerfully.

At Colette's offer she lifted the arm without the prongs to give the chef a wave. "Please come and make sure I'm cooking these okay." She'd been following Colette's advice and guidance, but she was still a little nervous.

[Dorgan Bruun]

Bruun closes his eyes and shakes his head a moment to resist Fee's distractions. He actually answers with eyes still closed. "Sirloin sounds great. But I reckon I'll be taking a burger as well. Fueling my recovery and all," he jokes.

Before Colette joins them he remarks, in what might be Bruun mocking a nobleperson accent, "And I have a range of interests, I daresay."

[Colette Rupelle]

She moved to the grill to check out Lizy's skills. "A little over done there but most it is okay. You should take some of the steaks out to let them.rest."

[Felicity]

"Sirloin and a burger, affirmative." She gives him a thumbs up. In time she would collect his meat and set it on the barbecue. For now she focused on Colette's advice. It looked like it hit her hard...

"Ah, no, really? I hope I didn't burn anything." Felicity panicked a little. "Let them rest. Got it. Eehm... okay." She moved a few of the cooked steaks to a plate.

[Dorgan Bruun]

Bruun notices he seems to have been dismissed, but stays close to observe "Lizzy and Letty." Or, to be "available to help," should they call.

[Andrea DeTroyes]

Andrea meanwhile had gotten some food and moved aside to not be an nuisance, while staying close enough to watch the cooks working. "Careful Leftenant or you might draw the ire of the chefs. A most terrible position to find oneself in."

[Dorgan Bruun]

Bruun turns to Andrea and chuckles. "Terrible indeed. But I reckon I can draw the ire of at least one of them whether I'm close or not," he jokes.

"I suppose I should find a drink and a seat. They ain't gonna need me, and they'll probably both scold me for not resting," he says with a sneer.

[Felicity]

Felicity's drink sat nearby, once more sadly forgotten. This time it was fully her fault. She was completely into cooking. It didn't help that a few soldiers stopped by for burgers. Speaking of, she hadn't made a plate of food for herself yet...

Neither had Colette eaten, for chef is the last one to serve themselves. She went one by one of the officers offering the cakes and checking if they were satisfied with the items they had chosen to eat. The girl smiled all the way around feeling quite happy that they were successful in this celebration.
