Human Edge

After having landed at the old Calico landing site, Felicity had suggested they have a wide patrol out into the Highlands. A single hover APC had sufficed for the trip. Although it was windy and cloudy, it would be nice to see some green. The base in Limbo was amazing, but the landscape around it was most certainly not. They'd passed by the tank graveyard on their way, just to be sure nobody else was scavenging anything, before heading deeper into the Highlands.

Felicity had plans.

Plans for finding some fresh ingredients direct from farmers!

"Okay, let's find a farm or a homestead. With any luck we can buy some fresh vegetables or fruits. You ok with that?"

Sitting next to Felicity, Andrea leaned over, "I would request we stay on task." She sighed, "But as long as one of us stays in the APC I guess it is fine."

She crossed her arms and looked out, probably her form of pouting about not being able to ride a mech.

"I'll be keep an eye peeled. I need to see how this thing handles after all" Snorri calls over the coms

"The APC?" Felicity asks. "Please don't do anything too risky. These things break easily from collisions."

She turned to rub Andrea's shoulder, since she seemed a little moody.

"It'll be for the barbeque, but if you're strongly against it then we can just complete a sweep and head back to the camp."

"I mean, it's supposed to be faster than the Hussar right? What fun are we having if we don't break a few things?"

"Across open ground or a lake maybe."

Felicity felt nervous Snorri was driving the hover APC now. At least she was strapped in.

"No its fine, just irritated at not being able to do this in Renaud." Andrea sighed, "Just make sure we all arrive in one piece Snorri."

"We can go on a patrol, in our mechs, tomorrow. After we smash the enemy, si?"
