Base Camp Locations

The base camp is a hexagonal region enclosed in a hastily assembled perimeter fence, inside the center of which sits the dropship itself. Around it, the various vehicles of the company have been extracted from storage and assembled, along with a temporary garage to house them. An armored APC sits by the 'checkpoint' where the fence opens toward the dirt path that qualifies as a road, if only barely.
Mobile Headquarters
After the morning on Day 1, the Echo Exploration Group have assembled their mobile headquarters vehicle, a massive integrated vehicle which contains an extensive sensor, communications, and holomapping suite, along with armor plating, supplies, and heavy duty wheels for off-road travel. Access is officially limited to Echo Exploration employees and their guests.
Loading Ramps
The base of the Calico holds a trio of heavily armored access doors which can let out the mechs, directly from their bays, or load and unload material from the internal freight elevators. These massive metal ramps see a lot of foot traffic as people come and go, and impromptu gatherings have sprung up, with small barrel fires set up for those who want to get some fresh air but warm their hands, or chat and swap the latest news.
Pillar 4
The fourth major landing stabilizer and engine is, after the EM of Day 1, wrapped in a steadily growing cocoon of metal gantries as the crew of the Calico attempt to enact emergency repairs on the badly damaged thruster. The outboard thrusters are fed from the ship's internal reactor, so the equipment isn't too fragile - meaning repairs can be somewhat crude if need be. Fortunately for all involved, the massive shock absorbers in the landing pylon itself held up during the impact, and did not suffer damage when the engine blew.
