Stretching your Legs (Day 1 Late Morning)

While there was a certain amount of exercise you could do on a drop ship. Running wasn't really one of those things. Alot of the camp had been set up and it left Thomas with a bit of time, so he decided a run was in order.

He set an easy pace for himself though, as he ran around the perimeter fence. No need to push himself after so many days in space after all.

Someone else, a tall bearded man, was far less ambitious. He took a walk, from the dropship's exit ramp toward the mobile Echo unit, just a bit circumnavigatingly, probably to assess the ship's damage or just to get some fresh air. He was carrying a small backpack and casually smoking a cig.

[Thomas Moreno]

Slowing in his run to catch his breath for a few moments, Thom offered a nod towards the other man. "Morning."

[Jan Novak]

"I agree." Jan replied between puffs of smoke.

[Thomas Moreno]

"I suppose t could be a bit warmer." Thomas offered in reply.

"That's just preference though."

[Jan Novak]

"Unpleasant environments is what has unaped us as species. Look at it as an opportunity to become a better man. Or at least better-adapted." There was some hesitation. "Do you smoke?"

[Thomas Moreno]

"Nah." He shook his head. "Never got into the habit." Thomas replied with a shake of his head.

"Not that I mind if someone does."

[Jan Novak]

"Not that I'd care if you minded." Jan drew a long one before nosing it out. "People get exposed to my bad habits at their own risk."

[Thomas Moreno]

"I suppose that's part of what makes them bad habits. You do em because you like em, and it doesn't matter what others opinions of them might be." He shook his head and smirked. "Not that I'm tryign to lecture you aganist it."

"Just an observation."

"I'm Thomas Moreno by the way."

[Jan Novak]

"Knowledge shall be sought everywhere." It sounded as a quote like Jan didn't provide any indication from whom, nor did he attach any emotion to the phrase. He finished another puff unhurriedly. "Jan. Novak if you must."
