Music - Post Battle (D2 LE Open)

[Andrea DeTroyes]

Andrea, after having seen to her mech, took up a seat away from the main flow of traffic and took out her violin. Looking to expend some of energy from the last hours worth of fighting, she took to playing. Her impromptu performance proved to be quite good. Andrea made a note to play more often after a battle. She still hadn't claimed a kill yet but it had been a proper fight. Her first not simulated and that she was able to participate in. A lot of emotions were being processed via violin at the moment.

[Thomas Moreno]

It was weird hearing music at the camp, well music that didn't sound like it was being aged through a set of speakers at least. Tracking down the sound, Thomas at last found one of the Mech pilots playing.

Deciding not to disturb her he took a seat on a nearby crate and settled in to listen. It wasn't badly done at all after all.

[Andrea DeTroyes]

Andrea seemed consumed in her violin for the moment. It was not until the piece was finished and the instrument was lowered that she seemed to notice her small audience. The mechwarrior took stock of the man before finally speaking, "Infantryman?"

[Thomas Moreno]

"These boots were made for walking." He confirmed with a nod, recognizing the woman from the meeting of mech warriors he didn't exactly need to ask her profession.

"You just get back? Heard there was a bit of a scuffle."

[Andrea DeTroyes]

"Something like that," Andrea confirmed, "We were ambushed while escorting the Major." She raises a brow, "Your voice sounds familiar. You were on patrol with me and Sgt. Chow yesterday correct?"

She smirks and picks her violin bow back up, "Sgt. Andrea Océane Laurette DeTroyes, Vanguard Lance. By the by."

[Thomas Moreno]

"Yes, the squishy who had boots on the ground." He confirmed with a smirk. "Gillian was kind enough to give me a ride after I stuck out my thumb. Didn't even have to flash any thigh."

"Nuce to put a face to a voice though, DeTroyes. I'm Thomas Cesar Moreno. Don't think the assigned rank to us ground pounders yet. There only seem to be two of us though "

Andrea chuckled, "I appreciate you wandering in the muck so I don't have to," She added more seriously, "I have seen a mech's wrath from the infantry's perspective, not a pleasant experience."

"Surprised at that, gets hot in the mech. Stick in it long enough and a lot more then a thigh will be showing. Wait...two? I could have swore I saw at least five infantryman with the Echo company man at the spaceport."

[Colette Rupelle]

Following the music Colette came by the camp. Probably all dusty from making her vlog on the damage. It has been a long time since she had seen a violin. Her eyes brighten at the instrument. "Bon soir..." She looked at Andrea then to Thomas. "ah... hello!"

[Thomas Moreno]

Andrea chuckled, "I appreciate you wandering in the muck so I don't have to," She added more seriously, "I have seen a mech's wrath from the infantry's perspective, not a pleasant experience."

"Surprised at that, gets hot in the mech. Stick in it long enough and a lot more then a thigh will be showing. Wait...two? I could have swore I saw at least five infantryman with the Echo company man at the spaceport."

"Our Commander hired a small mercenary company to help fill out numbers. Only two of us are officially with the Fortunate Sons." Thomas explained with an easy smile. "Still heat isn't really too much of a worry, their are worse things for an infantryman to deal with, as you said."

"Evening, Miss." Thomas called as the cook came into view. Nodding his head politely in greeting.

"I suppose so," She chuckled, "Just two though...seems more like you are the ones sent to get us mechwarriors out of trouble if we have a little too much to drink in town."

Andrea dipped her head to Colette, « Bon soir, mademoiselle. Comment allez-vous ? » Then she added, "Though perhaps it best to stay in English for Mr. Moreno here."
