What a mess (D5 EA Mess)

[Felicity]

Felicity slid into the booth with a tray of food. She looked weary because she was. The shower immediately following her dropping off Kiara for repairs had helped, as had a change of clothes, but she was famished after the long fighting. It had been kind of energising up until everything went to hell in the canyon.

Speaking of...

"So, eehm, how are you feeling?" She asks her lunchmate.

[Snorri Tycho]

"Like I lost an old friend who happens to be a three million C-Bill piece of equipment" Snorri responds. He is barely eating, instead stirring the food around his tray.

"Thank you though. It's nice to have friends who will threaten death if harm befalls you" It's a mark of his distraction that he doesn't seem to flirt at all in the process

[Felicity]

On the other hand, Felicity was tucking into her food. She was clearly hungry.

"We destroyed more of theirs than they did ours. There are other rides. We might be able to find and repair it when it's safer, si?"

She looked up and grinned at his next comments. "You're welcome DJ. I was getting ready to jump onto their fleeing pilot and tread on him if that Spider started shooting into the trees. That pilot was really crazy."

[Snorri Tycho]

"He was very brave, and a very tricky one to fight." Snorri finally manages to shovel some food into his mouth. "I'm glad he got dead. I would hate to run into him again"

[Felicity]

"The Major's shot from the rear laser was dead on. Yea, good he's gone. It's the rest that are the problem... eehm." Felicity shifted her foot forward to nudge Snorri's under the table. "You're alive. Usually it's the pilot dead and the mech that makes it back. We have spares and that Phoenix Hawk was damn lucky, si? Any idea what mech you're going to use in the meanwhile?"

[Snorri Tycho]

""Spare the Metal, Not the Meat." That's the saying I had drilled into my head in training. The idea that pilots would be more valuable than the machine itself is" Snorri blanches. "Kind of weird. And yet, here we are, with a bunch of mechs and not enough people to pilot them."

Snorri shakes his head at the question. "I don't know exactly what we have in the hanger, and the repair status. I know Vanguard jumped onto the new mechs we found, but if they got shot to pot as well, and they are already trained up on the mechs they have."

"That leaves...the Thorn? I think?"

[Comstar]

Without warning, the wall opened to another dimension, and a trio of well dressed men hopped out.

"Mission!"

Grabbing the pair, the trio threw them through the portal, shouting "ROM Timespace security - you are wanted for breaches of Timespace billing codes!"

Then suddenly they were gone.
