The Alchor Highlands are home to the majority of the people who live on the continent of Asphodel.

The Highlands

As the Calico sits on the horizon, a hive of foreign activity, the locals carry on with their lives. They may keep their guns close and watch the intruders with a wary look, but so long as no trouble is caused, the hardy people who live in these hills keep to themselves. Kids come and gawk, sometimes, until they are corralled by their parents back to chores and beat up land vehicles to drive in to the local village markets. The land is one of rolling hills, stubborn and thick vegetation, herd animals, and eventually thick and gnarled forests, the further east you travel.

If anything is hidden here, it seems unlikely to be anywhere obvious - this land is lived in, and the locals know it remarkably well, and don't have much to say about it to outsiders.

Vehicle Graveyard -- Salvage Lead
The remains of a company of armored vehicles are scattered along a half-mile of overgrown road. There is enough natural cover that they aren't completely decayed, leading to the potential for something of value to remain.

It was heavily overgrown, an ancient palace of some sort, and now it was a garden of exotic and native plants run rampant. The soaring buttresses still held faint glimmers of tarnished brass, the sun reflecting off the lenses of long ruined laser emplacements in the battlements. Equal in size to many governor's estates on worlds in the more prosperous regions of the Inner-Sphere, before being destroyed and abandoned, this place must have been truly impressive.

Now it was only vaguely sad.
