Rain Delays (Day 3 Late Afternoon, Patrol)

Reinhardt turns on his head lantern and waves to security to take point, since he was pretty sure they would insist on it anyway.

She nods, jumping down into the hole, offering assistance for the others to go down.

Thomas flipped on his own flashlight and moved to head down waiting for the others to descend before following.

[Dr. Reinhardt]

He follows along between the security escort he seems almost chipper to be stepping into the dark, his little light following his gaze as he does.

She turned her on flashlight, something she didn't do often to save batteries, scanning the room around. "Hey doc, what's that star league thing you talk so much about?"

The tech closed the hatch behind them and turned on his flashlight. "I am curious what the doctor has to say about that."

"Roughly 500 years ago the ruling government for most of humanity, and by most I mean around 2000 star systems including all of what we know today as the inner sphere. Most of our current Jumpships, Dropships, and many of our Mechs were designed or built during the 200 years the Star League was around. When it broke down because of civil war, around 3 centuries ago, much of the technology they had was lost. It's why finding facilities like this, or that crashed leopard, are so important to recovering the secrets that vanished with the loss of the league. "
