[Dorgan Bruun]

"I, ah..." Bruun's head is swimming.

"I reckon you're doing much better as a mother than I am a father," he admits sheepishly. "And I ain't..." He looks at the ground and crosses his arms. "I don't... know if I've really got any idea what I'm doing around here."

[Colette Rupelle]

"Neither am I but zat doesn't keep me from doing what I do best." She nodded sagely. "Bringing smiles to grim times." She giggled.

[Dorgan Bruun]

Bruun had to laugh and smile a little in response, Colette's charm too strong even when he was feeling down. He tries to shake all that off.

"I reckon there's no one better than you to have around in grim times, but I'd prefer to see you safely away from anything too grim," he says honestly. "I hope Echo isn't sending you anywhere too dangerous."

[Colette Rupelle]

"Not really... I am doing my own zings." She sighed. "I sometimes I feel I am not really helping. Zat is life... sometimes you are up ozer you are just ze chef." She giggled.

[Dorgan Bruun]

Bruun looks at Colette genuinely shocked.

"Just the chef? Like when you helped me convince that teenager to spill his guts? Or earlier today when you were selling a battlemech?" The mechwarrior gives her a look both kind and stern. "Even if you weren't such a peach just to be around, you've got a lot more going than just being a chef. And, actually, a great chef, I'd say." As he listed off her qualities, it's fair to say his look at her approached adoration.

Colette blushed. "I am humbled monsieur Bruun." She smiled. "Zat, is also what you are. Not just a leader but warrior no matter ze terrain I believe in you. Oui!"

[Dorgan Bruun]

The smile continues. "Miss Colette, please just call me Bruun. Monsieur/Senor/Lord Bruun was my father, and he's been gone a long time." His voice has drifted quieter, but he's still smiling at her. "I'm just Bruun. One and only."

[Colette Rupelle]

"I could call you by your first name. I just wanted to be respectful." She nodded. "Unless you have nickname."

[Dorgan Bruun]

"I don't know how a person could go feeling disrespected by a person as nice as you, Miss Colette. Bruun's plenty respectful on its own. Ain't nobody called me... by my first name... in a long time." Bruun seemed to be teetering on the edge of sharing more about these things.

"I see... Maybe one day..." She chuckled. " Zen just Colette will do, Bruun."
