With the decisive battle with the Dragons looming, Bruun tried to keep a normal day's schedule as much as possible. Morning coffee was non negotiable, and in his typical style he sat in a booth to enjoy coffee time before starting on breakfast. The normal-ness of the mess hall in the morning was nice. Things as they should be.

[Colette Rupelle]

Colette served Bruun a nice breakfast of 2 eggs and a sausage. She also brought a basket of biscuits. "Bonjour Bruun." She smiled at the man. "Would you like the regular coffee or an espresso?"

[Dorgan Bruun]

Bruun smiles widely at Colette. Breakfast seemed like just about the best part of everyday in this company.

"Good morning, Colette. Uh, just regular, please. I, uh, sort of have a system to my day. Always starts with regular coffee." He looks slightly self conscious about his habits.

[Colette Rupelle]

"I zought you may have wanted a bit of umph in your morning but very well." She giggled as she brought him a fresh cup. "Here you go... freshly brew dark roast... it is the only roast we have but it is quite good." She chuckled.

[Dorgan Bruun]

He drinks happily.

"I reckon I've never enjoyed coffee as much as when you bring it, Colette," he says with a nice smile. Then, thinking that might be too much honesty: "Uh, and it's awful nice of yippy to do that. Bringing things out. I mean, I'm not used to cooks or chefs who are so, uh, full service," he says, not thinking of the euphemistic meaning to that phrase.

[Colette Rupelle]

Colette shook her head. "I feel that you guys have a zankless job and zis is my zank you. You protect ze people zat hire you risking your lives. Why should I not allow you to enjoy what might be your last meal?" She knocked on the table twice just as he would. "Hopefully zat will not happen."

[Dorgan Bruun]

Bruun looks briefly appalled at mention of a last meal, but switches to a smile when she knocks on wood. I love this woman... He shakes his head to keep from looking at her too adoringly.

"Ah, yeah, I... I hope that there will be many more meals for us." He takes a deep breath. "I reckon I don't have a good feeling about today, but I'm going to bring home as many of us as I can..."

"I know." She smiled. "I will make a big dinner to celebrate your victory." She giggled.

[Dorgan Bruun]

"There we go," he agrees, smiling. "You always manage to pout a smile on my face."

[Colette Rupelle]

She giggled. "Zat is my job to change zat frown upside down. If you are feeling down just come to me I will do my best to lift you up."
