"I see, I see." Andrea smirked, "LRM-10 and Medium Laser. It's a good mech, piloted one myself in my cadet days. The Jump Jets working on it? If not you loose a lot of its maneuverability."

[Dorgan Bruun]

"Yeah, I know," Bruun says a little defensively. "You bucking for command of a lance here, Andrea? Trying to impress people with your smarts? You're welcome to it, far as I'm concerned."

[Andrea DeTroyes]

"The Davion's pride themselves on tactical skill. I was trained at one the two best Davion academies." Andrea frowned, "And I grew up in a family that prides itself on war. I was learning about mechs and war alongside my 123s and ABCs. Hell I had to learn Japanese just because it is spoken by the Dracs."

"As for command. I would not decline it but I also have no designs on it at this time."

[Dorgan Bruun]

Bruun stares at her apparent obliviousness. Ohhh, ok. Delicately ordered world view.

"Ok," he says as he nods thoughtfully. "So, what's the plan here for you? I mean, assuming you don't get blown to scrap, that is."

[Andrea DeTroyes]

Andrea grinned, "Cover myself in glory, return home and rejoin the AFFS in an elite unit." She made it sound like a fait accompli...like all it would take is just some time. "Maybe one of the other Crucis Lancer units, or one of the Davion Guard units. Light, Heavy, or First being preferable. I would also accept the 1st FedSuns Armored Cavalry."

[Dorgan Bruun]

Bruun gives her a knowing look, which Andrea probably interprets as agreement with her premise. But for him, the look really means, Oh. Honey...

"Alright. Well, tomorrow after the sims, how about a drink? To celebrate your first step toward that glory." Bruun's tone is level, neutral. Just what a comrade would do. Just in case she ends up tanked, hopefully I can keep Snorri at bay.

"A drink?" Andrea considers this, "Seems fine enough. Are we just taking whatever grog the kitchen decides to dispense or have you squirrelled away some secretive cache?"

She drags the bow across the violin to make a sinister hiss, "Or...are you planning on raiding someone else's?"

[Dorgan Bruun]

Bruun laughs heartily at the musical accompaniment to her nefarious suggestion.

"Well, I don't expect that Snorri's paying as much attention to his stash as he might want to be..." He chuckles and gives her a conspiratorial look. "But I have something pretty good tucked away as well."

He goes from leaning on the door jamb to standing with one hand on it. "Let's say we'll drink what feels right at the time. Depending on the simulations."

[Andrea DeTroyes]

"Very well. Drown the sorrow of defeat or exalt the ecstacy of victory." Andrea chuckles and resumes her playing, "Whichever may come."

[Dorgan Bruun]

"Here, here," Bruun says agreeably.
