[T-1 Morning] Desayuno

[Felicity]

She lifts her hands placatingly. "No, no. I didn't mean any offence. It's just, sometimes a mech might be being worked on and a part is removed to get to another part, and the work is set to take a few days. The tech then has a break, but suddenly the mech needs to deploy and the pilot knows something is off, but not the specifics." Her gaze turned upwards and she fought for the right way of putting it. "I like to know the details of jobs." She looked back to him, apologetically. "I can't say I'll always understand, but I'll try to. I like knowing. Not like some who just hand their mech over and say 'fix it', yea?"

[Theodore Beker]

"...Nearly died due to a rush job, huh? Alright, I'll make sure to keep you up to date," he relaxed his tone, "I like my coffee black as night, sweet as a kiss if you are looking for a way to return such good favour in the future."

[Felicity]

"Not me, but others in my previous two units. One moron said 'just fix her up' and then he left in it for a training exercise, because it looked complete and polished, but it wasn't. The mechtechs were waiting on a pair of new jump jets that fit. He noticed the balance was a little off, but he didn't check his system reports closely. He, ehm, he tried jumping across a rocky valley river that his mech ordinarily would have crossed comfortably." She lifted her hand and moved it in the air before bringing it down past the side of the table. "We had to get cranes to lift the mech back out. The pilot ended up with a broken back. His days were done." From her tone it was quite easy to guess she thought this was a fair punishment.

Felicity got to her feet and picked up her tray. "There's a good coffee machine in the briefing room. Real beans. I'm shit at preparing the stuff, but if you want me to bring you coffee while you work or to hold tools or whatever, just flag me down."

[Theodore Beker]

"Thank you," he nods, "Best of luck in the sim trials."

[Felicity]

"Yea, thanks. I want to see what everyone is capable of."

Felicity shifted the tray to be under one arm before placing her empty cup of water on it. "See you around Theodore." She waved her hand side to side and smiled. "Let me know when you want some coffee."

Then she was off on her way to return the tray and head back to her bunk. Her billowy skirt seemed to sway ever so slightly left and right as she walked away unhurriedly.

"Take care KBB. I'll keep you appraised," she smiled as he watched her walk away. He sipped his coffee, "Odd girl."
