[T-1 Evening] Bon Apetite

[Felicity]

Meanwhile Felicity had been busy eating her dinner. She didn't say anything about the booze. It didn't seem to particularly bother or interest her.

When things grew quiet she used the chance to ask a question. "Where did you learn all your technical skills... James?" She wasn't sure if he was fine with his first name being used. She'd been very surprised at Andrea not minding it.

[James Hall]

"Well, I trained for aerospace fighters back at home with some cross training. Most of my actual knowledge comes from the pirates. Not that they taught me. Just motivated me to learn mechs inside and out." He shrugs. It was what it was. Then, he realized what she actually wanted to know, his tone took a more reassuring turn. "Don't worry though. I may not have formal training from a school you ever heard of, I am skilled and will take care of your mech with the upmost care."

[Felicity]

Felicity smiled at him faintly. "Okay, si. I hope so." She was not reassured. However, she could give him a chance. They'd all have to. Whether they each liked it or not, they were stuck together until the contract ended. "Please treat Kiara kindly. She is very old, but not without her charm."

[James Hall]

"I don't plan on losing a mech that's been around since the days of the Star League." It kinda sounded like just the thought of mistreating such a mech was sacrilegious.

[Dorgan Bruun]

After a short time, Bruun returns with two bottles. He sets them on the table without ceremony, saunters over to the mess line to grab as many cups as he can carry, and returns to explain the plan.

"Doubt many of you are used to drinking PPCs -- yes, named after the mech weapon -- so we'll say that the hard stuff is just this respectable vintage of Free Worlds League ouzo, or, for those with more traditional tastes--" he looks pointedly, challengingly, at Andrea -- "this slightly questionable bourbon is an option. Probably best put to use in a Davion PPC, if one is... up to the challenge?" That raised eyebrow makes Bruun's question pretty clear: How do you really feel about that simulation run?

"So, who wants what? If you're wondering, Bruun's got an eye for a Marik PPC -- that's ouzo and some of this." He produces a bottle of rectified spirit from a pocket. "But y'all don't need to try to keep up." And then he smiles, quite comfortably.

[Jan Novak]

"But of course Monsieur Jan. I know more zan you may zink." Colette smile. "Cooking is a science monsieur... But you eat your experiments instead of publishing what ever you encounter. "

"Can you relate to my need for securing an independent source of ethanol?" He said somewhat quieter.

[Colette Rupelle]

Colette giggled. "Food grade or combustible?" She asked keeping a low voice.

[Jan Novak]

"Consummable only." A slight pursing of his lips might have been a smirk.

[Colette Rupelle]

"It might take a few days Monsieur Jan but I might have somezing for you in a few days." She nodded keeping her voice low. "Do you like Chocolate Cake?"

"Probably. Yours?" He rubbed his beard a bit.
